OK, a lot of people are asking about Prodrive USA, if there will be a prodrive power pack, stuff like that.

Take a look at Cobb Tuning
These guys have done some amazing power packs for the WRX, and I'm sure a lot of their stuff will work, or be adapted to work, for the STi. They have people all over the place who will do installs of their kits, etc.

Worth looking into anyway.

Cobb Tuning had good power packages like their rt spec, but they stopped selling them becuase they broke up with aps. But now they're developing their own products and hopefully they make some parts for the STi.

Personally, I am hoping that Prodrive does release a US ppp. The main reason is that in the UK the ppp does NOT void any Subaru warranties. Who knows with SOA if that will be true? :-?

it would be suicide for the manufacturers to turn down enthusiasts in times like these, especially since the people who mod their cars (within reason, also talk very highly of the car, hence promoting both brand and car) so I would hope that they take a more serious look at including certain tuners under their warranty umbrella.

That will only help increasing their image

That's exactly right!

I hate to say it, but I think Dodge is hitting the nail on the head with the new Neon. They are handing these enthusiasts a car exactly as they'd probably build it, but with the little OEM glitches of course (wheels too small, wing that is great, if it wasn't mass produced).

I think Subaru is getting the idea though. They've seen the enthusiasm around the world grow for these types of cars, and with rallying becoming SO SO BIG everywhere, people will start noticing Subarus a lot more, instead of just looking right past the 'boring cars' on the street.

I'm definitely of the opinion that there should be a Prodrive package here, and I believe that there will be. Don't know if it'll be a factory option, per se, but it might be factory-supported in some respects, even if you have to go to Prodrive in CA yourself.

(I wouldn't mind buying in NH, taking delivery in CA, making Prodrive my first stop, then driving home. :D That'd be terrific. I need the money for an STi first though, I guess. Ha.)

Cobb will be exciting to watch and wait for. They make insane power off the WRX. Just imagine the STi!!!!!!!
