nothing to worry about. the sti's tend to have all sorts of creaks and squaks and such. after a while, you honestly get used to it and tune it out without thinking. idk about the newer ones like you have, but the older ones the firewall would slightly flex causing the noise, you can try everything mentioned above, it may or may not work, but honestly it's nothing to worry about.

subaru was kind enough to add a fix...the volume button on the radio..jk lol, mine does the same, fixed all the squeaks/problem areas and still have a creak which comes an goes

oh i hate the squeaks/creaks that come and go. cause the ones that are consistent, i just tune out, but the ones that arent, i'm like ok that's new is this an issue, and then before i can find it.....it goes away.....drives me nuts haha.
