Do any of you feel this way? Even though I'm on many waiting lists, etc, I still feel like there's a big chance I wont get one because everyone else is trying to get one. If the #'s are gona be only 1,700 in the US, there will be people willin to pay so much over the sticker. With this being said, I'm thinking the chances of finding a dealer offering a good deal would be very rare . I am supposedly #2 or #3 on Irvine Subaru's list but whenever I ask her about the $1500k above invoice price, she hasn't responded to me about it. Other dealers are telling me expect a 5-10k markup on it. I guess im just feelin paranoid - how bout you guys?

From what I keep hearing everyone that wants an STi will probably get one. I feel that way from time to time, but I also know that if my dealer decides to not place my business important enough then I'll get my money back. Remember, the WRX was initially limited to 10K units for 01, but it ended up being nearly 20K units sold b/c of supply and demand.

The problem isn't so much that you won't get an STi, but it's WHEN you want to get that STi. I think I'm just gonna wait until 2005 to get mine :)

Yeah right now I am more worried about the specs. I used to be worried about getting one but I already ordered one for MSRP. Didn't eveyone that want's one, ordered it already? If not, what are you waiting for? If you are only on a waiting list, then I would be worried if you really want one.

I guess technically I ordered one since I signed an order sheet. Kinda funny if you ask me, ordering a car that isn't even officially available. Also I gave a $500 deposit in the form of a check... a check they aren't even going to cash. Might as well have been $10,000.

I "ordered" one. Since I am living in Germany now I have been working through telephone communications and via e-mail/online to work with my dealer. Seems like a good enough guy..

I just DON'T want a watered down version.
