Hi! I’m in search of a couple of good street performance brake pads to fit my STI brakes. There are not a lot of 2015+ STI’s in my country, in fact I have the only silica crystal black STI of the country.

At the moment I have the stock pads.
I do have experience with Hawk pads.
- HPS on my 2005 Fozzy 2.5XT. I didn’t felt much difference. Also got upgraded lines and a master cylinder brace from Grimmspeed.

- And HPS 5.0 on my former 2009 STI. Also not really noticeable.

I’m looking for a good bite. Can Endless pads give me what I want?

Project Mu B-force pads are my go to pads. Excellent hot and cold stopping power and amazing initial bite.

I really like my Akebono performance pads; they stop really well and have excellent initial bite. The best thing about them is that they there is hardly any dust.

If you are looking at Endless, the Super Street S-sports would be a good option for a street pad.

Run with DBA 5000/4000

HPS on at the moment. They work but don't feel like the Project Mu's.

What’s the reason why you get them for the second time?

Well compared to the stock pads on my 2011 they are a huge improvement. I even ran stoptech pads for a bit and the Project Mu B - Force are still way better. When lube'd correctly, the Project Mu B - Force pads are quiet and very low dust. I have paired them with DBA T3 4000 rotors and the initial cold bite upon brake aplication is amazing. The bite as they get warmer is even better. Ive never really experienced brake fade or anything like that with them either. I've pushed the car hard on mountain back roads and there were times where i feel like if i had crap brakes, well I wouldnt have been so lucky. The life on them is actually pretty good for a performance brake pad. Ive gone over 30K on these brakes and it it wasnt for rusty rotors eating away at them, they will last alot more.

The only downside to these pads are that they are a little more expensive than other pads but i think well worth it.

I agree, something about how crisp and precise they feel. Make me wish the cars came with them from the factory lol.

I've been using Ferodo 2500 for the last 6 years (second set now) and when auto-crossing, they were great and on the street, also great. They are lower dust than stock and have great cold bite, good modulation and I haven't pushed them hard enough to feel much fade.

for my first brake pad change, I still use stock rotors since it was still in good shape (was recommended to change rotors @ the 2nd brake pad change, correct me if I'm wrong)

The only question should I wait until my stock pads are gone or should I order it anyway?

I mean why spend the money until you have to. I would just ride out the stock brakes until its time to change them. When that time comes, then upgrade.

Yes you’re right.
I’m also in search of new tires next month.
And I ‘m thinking of getting a GT Spec catted downpipe (or Invidia? Almost the same) and a remap.

I’m at 350 hp and 500 Nm right now but with the stock downpipe and I really mis the turbo spooling I had on my 2009 STI with a 3 inch turbo back Invidia system.

I had Hawk HP+ on stock rotors. They dusted heavily. The builder of the car, also an autocrosser as I am, liked them. Other than the dusting I didn't like that they really needed one good stop before they grabbed well (cold bite wasn't the best). But because the rotors were bedded with them, I replaced with like for the second set. After that set the rotors were worn below minimum. I got, IIRC, Stop-Tech cryo treated rotors, said to be better for wear life, and bedded them with Carbotech 1521 pads (used to be called their Bobcat line). They dust a lot less, and have very consistent bite from cold to hot. Not as high a torque as some I believe, but that gives me a wider range of leg force to feather the braking which I like when autocrossing.

How long does the standard pads last during normal driving?
I’m around at 17737 miles (28546 km) and I think it’s still on the first pads, I’m the third owner of this car.

I don't think there is a set life span. You should just pop them out and see how much material is left on the pad.

Yes I do.
The US eBay seller replied at me as it won’t fit. I asked him why. He replied by saying they don’t understand what ‘stock STI Brembo’s, four pots front and two at the rear’ means.

Probably because I’m a international buyer they won’t sell it?
