I have not seen a boost guage in any Sti pic. Come on is this a world class performance car or what? I couldn't believe my WRX did not have one as OEM let alone an Sti.

It appears that the STi dashboard is nearly identical to the WRX, right down to the clock. ***WARNING: Shameless plug ahead*** What this means is that the gauge package I sell for the WRX should fit with little or no modification in the STi. We'll see when I get an STi to play with.

you can see these brochures here. Look at the 3 picture (bottom right corner)

Looking at the brochure it appears that the boost gauge shown is obviously for the base WRX, not for the STi. I like the position of the gauge shown but wonder if it would interfere with the shift light for the STi. Have you seen the combo tach/speedo Mazda's putting in the RX8? Not too bad looking - analog tach, digital speedo, but not cheezy digital, nice!

I think the boost gauge shown in the brochure is optional, not standard equipment, just like the '02-'03 models. If you read the fine print on the back of the brochure, it reads "Some equipment shown in photography in this brochure is optional at extra cost."

This is apparent in the rear 3/4 view of the WRX, the photo shows it as having 17" BBS wheels and a spoiler, both of which are extra on current models. The specifications on the back list 16" wheels as standard.

The boost gauge isn't put in the car in stock form because there is no reason for it. The ECU is controlling everything. Same logic used to remove the voltage gauge. You don't need to know anything unless something is wrong...and then you get a warning light.

The genome gauge is available at japanparts.com. Personally, I'm going for one of the pod setups sold over at God's website.
