As the title say, what boost controller does everyone use. & what's the best

I was looking at the aem truboost since it has a gage too. But there's also the grimspeed or cobb

Any decent 3-port is likely the same Mac valve. The one with the gauge is likely controlled by the gauge, which I wouldn't use in this application.

Grimmspeed or Cobb are good picks, unless you have something you're trying to work out that makes those not an option for you.

"best" is subjective ... a fully electronic, tuned to MocTec, 4 port boost controller with CO2 tank to for precision valve control is the best ... how much do you want to spend? I run a 3-port manual boost controller as a quick solution, but I will go fully electronic again shortly.

I use a Bluetooth NeuralLink boost controller - just have to think what boost level I need 😅
You should upgrade to an ECU controlled device . . .

^That's not even "the best". :p
... 4 port boost controller with CO2 tank?
And that's not even "the best"?

My google-fu has failed me, could you link/provide some examples please? I'm just curious about how far this particular thing can go lol, I've never seen more than the 3-port EBC's.

What type of application would require the precision that a 4 port boost controller with CO2 tank would provide? High HP road race vehicle? Drag car? A truck built for a tractor pull? lol

The good Sir is probably talking about electronic waste gates ... which will give you the most control yet. Turbosmart Releases Award Winning GenV Electronic External Wastegate! • Turbosmart

I don't see those gates lasting long on daily drivers though ...

That's pretty awesome.
Why don't you think they'll last long on DD's? made for racing and not longevity?
I just say that as I've never had an electronic exhaust cutout last more than a year ... the heat it will face will be much higher than an exhaust cutout .... it's over kill anyway unless you're racing competitively. Maybe I'll get one down the road to learn .. I think my Hydra can run it. Else I'll put one on my Supra.

E-gates are in OEM cars now, to include the new WRX. My Ranger and Grand Cherokee CRD both also use e-gates. The Grand Cherokee now has 237k miles.

I haven't seen the wastegate do anything on any of my Ranger logs. Ford uses the throttle for just about everything.
I will research them more once I get my car back on the road .... then I can focus on blowing money on new gear -- ha ha! That 45mm WG for 899 bucks looks legit ... after my next analog one dies, maybe I'll upgrade to it.

You would need a driver for it as well, unless you have an aftermarket ECU that can run it.
I run a Hydra 2.7 ... I should be able to, but I'd probably have to unlock something (I have no idea who owns/maintains it now) ... I want to change it out for a MoTec150 eventually .. after market ECUs can be good (Hydra is good), but there is basically zero support for it. Maybe TS will make an after market controller for it .... gotta be something like that.
