Yea i know, Oil is the worst topic to start on subaru forum, but this specific oil got me very interesting.
A group of car enthusiasts out of Moscow, Russia (also well known street racers) did a very interesting oil test to see which oil brand would give least wear on rotating metal pieces and most lubrication possible.

Heres a video: skip to 6:25

Out of random oils they tested here are the results:
Motul 1st place (best one)
Castrol 2nd
Mobil One 3rd
Shell 4th

When i saw that they gonna test Motul, i knew even before seeing the results that Motul would come up on top with best results, since i only heard good things about it.

But then, they brought up and oil brand i never heard of before, the oil called Bardahl, the results were MUCH better comparing to Motul, showing much less metal wear, but then it got even better after they added Bardahl B1 Oil additive.
They even show that it leaves some serious protective oil after they did dry test.

From Bardahl's website:
Formula that improved the anti-wear, anti-friction, and extreme pressure properties of motor oils.
Specifically formulated to meet the demands of the small displacement high RPM fuel efficient engines found in today’s automobiles.
For engines experience higher operating temperatures and require motor oil which offers maximum protection against both viscosity and thermal breakdown.
What i found interesting is that this Bardahl company actually not doing much of marketing advertising, you cant buy this oil online or from Performance shop, you actually have to go to their factory to buy it and its more expensive than Motul but if you buy it in larger quantites they give you a discount.

Reason why this got my attention is that these guys are killing their cars on daily baisis, usually BMW M power cars or Mercedes AMGs, and they also talk about how car manufactures cheap out on cars and oils to make more profit without carring how long the car will last after warranty runs out. So the best oil possible is a Must! For them.

So if anyone heard about this company or used their oil, please let me know what you think, because next oil change im gonna give it a try and see how it does with STi EJ motor.

Face plant, it's the internet, it's Russian . . . Ok I'll watch for fun.

Not that it matters back in the 60s young males (6-10) went through a sticker fad. If you requested them, Bardahl would send stickers. Don't have any ideal why I reember that name :)

Ive seen it but never tried it yet. I think its one of the brand from arab countries based on the packaging.
No its made in USA, company was founded by Norwegian immigrant.

I live about 3 hours away from the factory, so i will go and check em up before next oil change, im also gonna send my current oil out to blackstone and then send Bardahl oil to see how it does.

So I watched a bunch of pieces. All in Russian?

Key for me is that Bardahl gets extra time, I think explanation, and add music . . . to me that says just an add, ignore . . . similar to the governments cures for cancer they won't release and infinite mileage cars Detroit has known how to build for years . . .

It seems like this oil is popular in russia and europe, performance cars there are being driven hard on daily basis with worst weather and road conditions, so if car engine can survive there it will survive anywhere.

I couldnt find if anyone used this on subaru, but theres this Bardahl subaru lol
