I'm wondering about something (turbo lag).

i have heard from very good sources, and people who actually own the sti's and some makers that when they do those 1/4 miles times they are dumping from 6500+ . okay yeh big deal thats how u get it to go the fastest, but the part that sucks is, rumor is the clutch is only going to take about 10 to 15 of those until its totally fried...

i dunno that doesnt sounds too cool

maybe u all knew that, but i didnt

It sounds a bit off. Why would you dump the clutch beyond the torque peak? The reported figures say that is around 4000 RPM. It would seem more likely that the hard lift off would occur closer to that figure. Either way does that really wear the clutch in 10-15 go rounds? I don't know...Where are those darn Euro/Aussie STi owners? I know they check in sometimes...
