Re: awenthol's 2013 - Failed Ringland Rebuild in Progress -Manley Rotating, Benson Sl

Currently prepping the block for paint...waiting for rotating assembly to show and I can start piecing this thing back together.

Also started butchering the Koyo Radiator so I can do -4AN lines for coolant tank and overflow outlet. Ordered the Killer B upper coolant tank with -8AN in/out, -4AN to radiator and have -4AN to 1/8"NPT for the coolant overflow.

Thinking Garrett GT35r...I want to stay stock location (mainly because I want the Air-to-Water and zero volume induced turbo lag).

And am looking at ATP so I don't have to swap out the Killer B up-pipe for EWG.

Out with the old and in with the new...fuel system...

Forgot to get pics but I went with a FuelLab 6 micron filter--squeezed it under the driver side fuel tank cover.

-10AN compression fittings on the heater core--PITA to install as there's no room.

Block/misc parts blasted and painted. Just have heads left, and all paint work is done. My dad restores 2 Cylinder Deere's, so he has a shop complete with sand blasting and paint booths--lucked out on all my paint work...

What battery box did you go with? And where did you mount it? I was thinking about putting mine where the spare tire was.

I'm going with a light weight battery--probably Braille--and since I removed the evap system, I'll be utilizing the welded nuts behind the driverside rear seat and a bracket that I'll have to make up, to work.

-Dan Benson Racing Sleeved/O-Ring'd block

Damn ! Someone just got serious in a hurry
Also, did not realize you went with a Benson block as well. I was keeping up on your thread through the Widebody work, but then got behind...need to sit down and dig through it.

Did you end up pinning the sleeves? I saw your mod list says "semi closed" deck but technically speaking, the factory setup is semi closed, so I wasn't sure if you meant something else? I mentioned to Dan about wanting to go closed deck and he talked me out of it.

Only a small update this week...Pyro fitting TIG'd onto headers (should have been done before tuning) and headers are re-wrapped. Waiting for them to dry so I can do silicone paint.

Coolant crossover TIG'd w/-10AN to the heater core.

Lame excuse but I was rushed, so pics came out like crap (cell phone quality, like always).

2015 Steering Rack is in + Whiteline bushings + Cusco brace + -6AN P/S adapters.

And in ridiculously depressing news, I'm only a few grand away from having spent the same amount in mods as I bought the car for :(. Can't imagine how brutal this would be having someone else do the labor.

Did get the -10AN lines for the Air to Water plumbed in (no pics) but need to go back and do some modification. They don't exactly fit discreetly under the (heavily padded) carpet and would not fit along the rocker rail.
