How much power and torque can the automatics take though before the clutches start to slip and or gears brake? Can the stall speed be changed or a smaller converter available to help with launches?

I agree with others though at this point the technology available for hydraulic actuated Sequential manual version of the current 6 speed would be the way to go. Keeping my fingers crossed that subaru does that in the next gen as an option.
I think it can hold up to 400whp on the stock gears

there's a company (still did not get the name) that can build the automatic transmission and can hold up to 1000hp as i've been told

but costs around 5K to do it

I know of 2 companies that do 5EAT upgrades for Subaru (both in the US). IPT and LevelTen.. check their websites.

And there are others in Australia and Japan but forgot their names.

Hope it helps.

The downpipe, exhaust and intake are being installed and see how that goes
How did this go? Downpipe fit without adjustments?
Sorry Late to this party.

With an auto that could actually hold power I wouldn't mind one with a 3500-4200 stall and a big turbo for straight line racing. I'd park it right next to my manual 6 speed lol
