Hello everyone,,
I’ve made it a while with a cheapo one but I need to see LIVE DATA more importantly fuel trims. I cannot for the life of me figure out why my mpg is so bad and I’ve even smoke tested the thing and no vacuum leaks or anything. Cleaned maf, new o2 sensors, checked for exhaust leak at the header, new spark plugs and coils, new fuel filter.Anyways, what scanner did you buy? But I’m most curious about how the app OBD Fusion performs. I just want to be able to see live data. Long and short fuel trims, o2 voltage, maf readings, temperatures. And as a plus I’d love it if I could see my mpg reading. Nothing will be more accurate than the calculations I do myself when I fill up but I’m curious to see how accurate the app can be.

Edit:guys i found a site near me and it does free shipping too!! https://ljmcardiagnostics.co.uk/
Thanks you!

I use the BlueDriver bluetooth OBDII dongle and it works great. It only seems to have trouble if I stream music via bluetooth at the same time, but it simply slows down the sample rates for fuel trims by a split second.

I've been monitoring Short term and Long term fuel trims for about a year now, and successfully diagnosing different lean and rich conditions. You can see MAF readings, but you can't check O2 sensor voltage or any temperature other than coolant on a stock USDM EJ257.

I bought a generic OBD2 bluetooth reader on Ebay years ago. Use it with Torque Pro on Android and its been solid. I've had to add some PIDs if the data I want is available but not configured by default by Torque, however fuel trims are default PIDs and on most vehicles I've used this on show up.

Torque calls it LTFT(AF Learning 1) and STFT(AF Correction 1)

if you have an android phone, you will need a bluetooth.. if iOS, then wifi.. most important is that the scanner uses an ELM327 chip.

ive used most of the app scanners and torque seems to be the least useless.
