I had swaybars, endlinks done before coilovers and ALK also and thought it was the springs who was doing the clunk. Yesterday, I did my oil change and while I was there, I checked everything that could hit or whatever could do that clunk. With the help of my wife, I could repeat the clunk with a floor jack. The clunk seems not going from the ALK but from the car frame, I could not figure out where exactly. Not the springs, not the coilovers, not the ALK, not the swaybars, not the endlinks (as some people had issues with the endlinks hitting the tie rod) but from inside the car frame.
I'll e-mail Whiteline if they heard anything like that but wanted to ask the community before and before going back to the shop who installed my coilovers and ALK as they are a little bit far from my house.
So if I have to go back to the shop, I can point them out on the issue.
Maybe Whiteline can help us on the forum.
Just bought a 2016 STI completely stock. I want to start modifications soon, but knowing that the engine is temperamental I want to do this correct.
Anyone have a list of mods I should start with before getting into turbos, blocks, etc.
This how-to is based off a GR, but the concepts should be similar to a GD. I'm not sure how different the front subframe is or how it might interfere with the install.
I'm making this as a response to so many people saying that motor mounts are a terrible install. I think they're cake, and I...
Hey, IWSTI form!
I've had my 2015 sti for about two years now, buying used off of a friend who I knew treated her well, and I'm looking into tuning options for the car once the warranty is up, coming up here in 3,000 miles for the whole drive-train and 23,000 more for the engine bearings. I...
I decided to create this thread since although there was good information on the forums regarding how to do a seat swap, there weren't a lot of pictures to document the process. Hopefully I can cover a lot of the questions that people have prior to installing seats (I know I had a bunch).
Hello, just seen someone breaking a car the same as mine on social media but his has fog lights and mine doesn’t, how big of a job is it to fit standard fog lights to a car that doesn’t have them.
And if I take my car to a dealership can I get them to put optional extras in that weren’t fitted...
