And it continues.. Front O2 frozen in bung , Solutions or Nuke the whole thing ? ~

So After getting my DP welded, My front O2 Sensor went bad.

Checked for all the issues that have been mentioned- Fuses , Exposed wiring/ grounding , Loose harness Etc.

Upon trying to remove the old O2 and replace with a stocker, the thing just wouldn't come out.

PB'ed it a few times and then hit it with heat. The bung was cherry red, twice and we couldnt get it out. So the tech at my buddys shop is telling me that when they are that hard to get out- The threads usually come out with.
So at this point, I'm not sure what the best thing to do is, I'd be happy with the car running as it was.

Is there a way to "jump" it out with a retail product, or home brew?

I figure taking it out and having a new bung welded in may be more labor in $ then just going with a stock replacement pipe

Or go ELH?

Weighing the pros and cons, ELH is a good chunk of money, although I am planning for bigger turbo down the line. If ELH happens I might just nuke the whole thing and build it all. Serious money I'd prefer to save.

Thoughts?

What are you using to remove it? Impact gun or just a wrench? I have a sensor socket tool that has an offset area where you would normally put a 3/8 drive wrench in. I put that on the sensor and wale on the part that extends away from the sensor with a sledge hammer so it basically acts like a huge impact gun. The front one is in a tough spot, but I believe I was able to use this method with the help of some extensions.
Car was on a lift, We had the sensor socket and 12" ratchet. Thing wont be pretty when it comes out.

I bet it will come out if you heat up the bung again and get a gun on it.

Sounds like you used a crow's foot...? 7 Piece 3/8" Crowfoot Metric Wrench Set

I'd probably try again with heat and try to get an impact gun on there, as has been said. Else, 50/50 acetone and ATF is supposed to be the best penetrating fluid out there.
O2 sensor socket, heat, and a 24" breaker bar with a pipe over it. Something will give.

You can substitute the breaker bar for an impact if it's a good one and you use a full 3/8" air hose.
