Allocations should be arriving today for the Anchorage dealer. They theorize to have about 5 allocations in the first shipment. No details on the specs, but they will be port installing Subaru stereos (from what I was told).

I am #3 on the list and look forward to the drive.

*side note: I drove the new '04 WRX and it was nice overall. Thank GOD they added some small items to improve the overall experience : trunk lights, pass through seat, heated seats and mirrors (this is Alaska ya know) and the option of a small skylight! Good going.

I believe the assumption was that stereos would be dealer installed, not port installed.

Well, I got word that the first TWO were taken by a single buyer - which seems a little biased and unfair, but I digress.

I have the option of white/silver or black/gold. Blue and silver went to the first buyer (#&&^@*!)

Radios are completely a dealer install, that is correct. They tried a PIO but were denied by SOA.

I am excited about the option to get one of these gems, however the colors are not what I had hoped for...and may simply wait for the next batch.
