This stuff is actually mean for computer cases, but i don't see why I can't use it in the STI I have enough to cover the front doors: What do you think? Should I do this or shall I just pick up some brown? TIA,
You're talking about Akasa pax.mate acoustic absorption mats, right?
Read this review, from my understanding of it, this stuff is designed to make quiet noises even quieter. Also since it is designed for the inside of a computer, it is made to be bared to the sound source, ei. not covered up.
If you're planning on putting this stuff on in the inside of your doors, I don't think it will hardly make a difference at all.
If you're planning on reupholstering your interior in this stuff, it'll be a complete PITA because the biggest pieces available of this stuff is 15-3/4" by 13-3/7". Keep us posted if you do.
Personally, I would just get some DynaMat and do it right the first time.
