Yes! the switch sucks, lol. anyways, you can relocate the blind spot button to the Forester location http://www.cars101.com/subaru/forester/forester17-driver-controls2.jpg and use the regulars fog light button for the top left space. I believe 83002SG060 is the correct button, but still need to verify what connector is on the back, if it matches the existing or if I need to find a Forester in the junkyard to grab a connector/pigtail from. Might also need the panel cover...
It sucks? Like it doesn't do the job at all or what? Please do keep us updated on your experimentation with the Forester and regular fog light button.

For anyone interested in knowing, I just did this install yesterday with a basic fog kit (Winjet) I got online. I also bought a relay (same part number as original post) at my local auto part store (Napa) and placed it in the blank relay spot highlighted in the original post behind the glove box.
I have a 2021 STI Limited and spliced into the blue wire shown in the first post. Works like a charm.
Also, I ordered the oem fog switch (same part number as the original post) and replaced it with my trunk pop button since I find that button to be the least important (leaving the trunk pop button plugged in but tucked it away behind the panel.

The fog icon illuminates in the cluster display and works with low beams on and cuts off when high beams are triggered.

I will try to respond to any questions as best I can.

I would also like to infinitely thank the OP for taking the time to do this. I cannot express my gratitude enough!
