What break-in oil are you going with? I'm torn between Brad Penn and Driven (Joe Gibs) right now:notsure:

Good question, I haven't thought that far ahead just yet. I think my buddy used Joe Gibbs on his LSx, He made over 1000RWHP, so I guess it worked well... haha

I think in the paper work that came with the block, they mentioned anyone of those was ok, and I think Motul had an option listed too.

IAG had me use Royal Purple break-in oil with changes at 800, 1600, and 3200 miles :) I actually then ran Castrol 5w30 dino oil until 10k before switching to synthetic. It's probably just old fashion approach based on the belief that dino oil is more conducive for better ringland seal through friction since it doesn't lubricate as well as synthetic

They told me Royal Purple was ok, along with Motul, Brad Penn, and Joe Gibbs. I have a few friends that had some not so good (motor=paperweight) results from using Royal Purple so that's why I am staying away from it lol.

Do you know if they finish the cylinder hone with a rough or plateau finish? I forgot to ask them yesterday!

The other thing I'm waffling on is switching to MAP based.
No need for speed density and you need better IAT sensor.

Regarding turbo, you'll just need to check the banjo fittings as they have screens to catch debris. Then, get the 5 point socket from company 23 and strip down/clean the cam gears.

Perfect! Thankyou - I was nervous about the gears too, going to order the tool up soon.

Also, Car is still at dealer. SOA said they wanted to ensure a positive outcome. I will have an answer by Tuesday.

Fingers crossed. Do you still run the OEMs summer and the GD BBS in winter? I have a DGM with the same setup haha.

Good luck, hopefully you'll get some good news on Tuesday. If the replace it, will you then pull the new block in favor of the Stage 2 one? And more importantly, what are you going to do if they pull some stunt where they say they'll waive labor but you have to buy the parts or something like that?

Yup, it's funny there is another guy in my area with that setup too. He posted his car up on an FB page, and I was like oh shit that's my car, and it runs!!:eek: :lol:

I will probably tool around with the stock engine for a bit, I never wanted to reallllly replace the engine in the car, I mean at times I wished it was faster, but was really fine with it where it was.

I will reserve comments on the stunt portion of your question until later ;-)

Haha nice. As much as I like the golds, the availability at the time was silver. It works out bc I got some nearly new all seasons that got thrown on my wife's car (good timing bc her current tires had worn unevenly and were prematurely toast). Plus I found gold 5x100 for her car so it works out that I got silver.

I def prefer the oem wheels, they're some of the nicest oems I've seen. But the 05-07s look great too.

Well good luck w the car Vikings, hopefully they are feeling friendly

Yeah, I like the OEM wheels too. And I LOVEEEEE the 14's BBS's. <3 I wish I wouldn't have curbed two of them :(

Thanks! If nothing else, I'm glad they're at least doing what I want to consider "Due intelligence" :)

So I bought some TGV deletes... I just like the way they look... I know I know.

Also got air pump delete plates and a timing belt guide. It's only money, right.
