2013 Focus ST ST3 Package with Moonroof (All options)

I have never considered a Ford until I drove this car. I also had a long list of cars I was considering for daily driving duty including used M3's/S4/Lexus/Veloster Turbo etc. In the end though I wanted something that was fun and engaging as well.

Ford hit the ball out of the park on the driving dynamics of this FWD car. The steering is superb, the handling is the perfect amount of stiffness, amazing turn in and grip and all from a FWD package. At times you forget its FWD its so neutral in the corners with a hint of lift off oversteer.

I don't plan on modifying much on this car but if I do will post it here!

Love it. I'm so glad they finally gave us a turbo focus. Almost considered traded for one.
This car is amazing. That is all :). It is making me forget that I have an STI sidelined .
Took the car to Road America since the STI motor is still having issues. Fully stock, 1200 miles good break in. Brakes were fading for sure and didn't really feel that comfortable throwing it around but it handled well.

The quick ratio steering was hard to get used to I found myself turning in too early its so fast!

Patience, the videos will be finished uploading in about an hour so come back :)

Warmed up with some cone runs (lots of wheel spin!)

Here is 1 lap where I had some clear space

Goddammit I hate you

Just last week I had a crazy idea of possibly consolidating my 2 cars, STi and Acura TL, into 1 car that had everything both offer; luxury, performance, fun, and fast. So naturally I was considering M3/335xi, S/A4, and G35/7/x. Until I saw all their MPG's were about the same, if not worse than the STi, so out the door they all went.

I've always heard about how FUN the Focus ST's are, and that you'll instantly fall in love with them as soon as you drive one, which I've been dying to do.
This isn't helping my cause :p
Yeah I went in expecting nothing and ready to walk away and that first test drive made me want it bad... At the right price of course.

I think leftover 2013 still have 0% if you can find one! St2 or st3 packages are a must

I drive the car pretty hard and get 25-26mpg daily. I have gotten 30-31mpg on a couple freeway trips so it's not bad.

How does the back seat compare to the Subaru? More legroom or less?
There is no legroom honestly unless it's for a kid. I am 6'1 and can squeeze in but with both legs wrapped around the front seat. That is the biggest negative. Should have been a 2 door

I also have the Sti and a VW golf which both have plenty of rear leg room.

Reason i asked was because I have the 12 Focus hatch. Looks great but no room for anyone in back - kids ask me to move up seats lol - im also 6'0. Now I have more ammo for getting an Sti - more rear legroom hahaha THANKS!!!

Picked up my new Winter Rims with my winter tires from the STI mounted for the ST this winter :D

Unfortunately the STI has a new motor and is just not going to be driven in winter anymore. I don't really want to deal with winter tires and having to switch out suspension components/alignments every year anymore.

Plus the STI is more comfortable.

I didn't go crazy here on winters...

Picked up the following from tire rack:

Here is a quick picture of them in the back hatch of the Focus. Not as much hatch room as the Subaru unfortunately but still holds 4 wheels very comfortably. Tires are Blizzak WS60

Will update again with picture once mounted.

Wait wait wait, the STI is more comfortable? Or was the extra I a typo?

Ha ha Yeah typo for sure. The Recaro CS seats in the STI are more comfortable than the seats in the Focus but overall the Focus is a much more pleasant cockpit to be in.

Found a picture at Road America online from just off Canada Corner!

Also found photo of the F430 Scuderia that had an engine blow going into the Carousel! The guy had been there numerous times with the car. Expensive repair for sure!

I love this car(your car, same color too). I saw one the other day at work, the guy was backing up and I saw the car from the back and it was beautiful. It is probably one of the best true FWD sports car in the market along with the Golf GTI which is also a heck of a car.

Man after reading this I'm kinda bummed. I was looking to move to the ST as a DD, but I need a functional backseat to occasionally house kids/dog and/or adults every once in awhile.

You would still advise that this won't fit that bill?

How tall are you? I am 6'1 and need the drivers seat pretty far back. If you are a bit shorter and have the seat maybe middle adjustment you can fit people in back.

My comment is more to my situation with my seat back you can fit kids bit adults would be a tight fit.

Keep in mind that the space issue is leg only I thing there is ample head room. I can fit back there bit legs are tight.

It is significantly smaller leg room compared to the Subaru, maybe more comparable to the GD rear leg room.

Yeah I'm 6'3'' so it'll probably be even worse.

Yeah definitely. Shop elsewhere for sure. Now we also have a VW Golf and I can say the rear seat room in that car is more than ample (4dr model) so that may be a great alternative getting into a GTI or something.
