2012 wrx notchy shifter problem

So as stated above i have a 2012 wrx with spt ss and kartboy front and rear bushings. I was wondering if the shifter is suppose to feel notchy instead of buttery smooth when engaging gears? Also when starting off in first gear I hear this rattle that wasn't there before should that be a problem? Thanks!
