I've decided to sell my 2008 STI. I still love this car, but right now it's a luxury, not a necessity, and I need money in the bank towards a down payment on a house. We already have a Forester XT as our family car, and I take the train to work, so the STI doesn't see much action any more, as you can probably tell by the mileage.
I'm the second owner. It was a trade plus cash for my stage two 2008 Forester XT. The previous owner was a Subaru enthusiast as well, and took very good care of the car.
This is a reliable car, nothing needed, just get in and drive. It's been rock solid for me, I've only ever had to do regular maintenance (mostly just oil changes). The interior and exterior are both in excellent condition. Just a few minor chips, like every other Subaru that's ever left the lot.
2008 STI
Dark Gray Metallic
21,xxx miles
Westchester, NY
Title in hand, no lien
Points of interest:
- Brand new Dunlop Direzza ZII's - $962 shipped, $140 mounted/balanced on a Road Force machine
- Front brakes done a few hundred miles ago - Carbotech Bobcat pads and Centric Premium rotors
- I've used German Castrol for all oil changes since I've owned the car
- I used only OEM black Tokyo Roki filters until I ran out last oil change, now I'm using OEM blue
- Battery replaced last year with DieHard Gold (I didn't drive it often enough that winter)
Interior/Exterior:
- Pioneer AVH-P3200BT head unit (Touchscreen, BlueTooth, iPod, USB, SD card slot) -JDM OEM bezel, no unsightly aftermarket mounting kit
- 3M Tint installed professionally by Sam's in Nanuet - 35% all around (except windshield)
- Rally Armor v2 mud flaps with gray logo (I never installed the rears, but have them for you)
- Auto-dimming mirror with compass
- Stock 5 spokes have been professionally painted a darkish gray, just done this spring.
- Includes a set of previous gen 17" BBS wheels wrapped in Dunlap Wintersport 3D's (tons of tread). I painted these gun metal myself, the silver looked way too bright on my car, and it also helped cover some curb rash.
- Perrin Shorty Antenna (I have the original antenna too if you want it)
- SRP Aluminum Pedals - more grippy than stock, and wider gas (dead pedal not installed, but I have it. Also have the stock pedals)
- OEM all weather mats (I will provide the standard mats as well, they are unused)
Power:
- No hardware mods (previous owner had a Magnaflow catback on it for ~500 miles, too loud for me so I swapped to stock)
- Cobb Accessport V2 (003)
- Stage 1 Protune by Chris at EFI Logics, R.I.P. (+32HP +10 ft/lb tq, and soooo much smoother than stock tune)
Suspension:
- Racecomp Engineering Blacks aka "Regular Guy" springs
- Stock front and rear sways from a 2011 STI (+1mm f&r)
- SuperPro poly steering rack bushings
- Alignment by EFI Logics, -1.5 degrees camber f&r
This car is very clean. You'd be hard pressed to find another 08 this clean with this low mileage, and this lightly/tastefully modded.
My asking price is $26,500. I am not under any pressure to sell, and not in a rush to say goodbye. So please, no lowball offers. Serious inquiries only. No trades.
Optional deductions:
- Remove Accessport -$400 (I will still give you the map from Chris, it would be a crime not to)
- Remove winter wheels -$400
- Remove Pioneer head unit (will install stock) -$200
Pictures attached. A bit lacking in interior shots, so if you have a specific shot you want, request it. But please don't waste my time unless you are seriously interested.
