I'm luckly enough to test drive a 2004 WRX today, when driving it, I don't feel much difference compaired to 2003 WRX test drove eariler (as I am behind the wheels). Center RPM-Meter is good, VERY easy to see your rev, larger hoodscoop looks more mean, I'm sure the STi will be even bigger.

The sales gave me the 'official' equipment list and here's a few highlights and some minor details (and I will scan / type the whole list once I have some time)

2.5L 300hps blah blah blah blah ... you know it...
Fuel requirement: 93 recommended, 91 min (Esso 92 will do ;) )
Multi-reflector halogen headlights booooooooooooo
tinted windows
standardWRX large spoiler (not like the EVO where you pay $1k more for the spoiler)
heated driver seat with 2 level switch
STi embroidered floor mats
rear seats folding center armrest with trunk pass through
AM/FM/6CD/Cassette Stereo, 4 main speakers, 2 tweeters spearkers, optional subwoofer, "premium performance speakers" (sounds like a good package)
Anti-theft system, keyless entry
STi blue master key
Semi-auto temperature (lowest) 20C to (highest) 35C (why 20C???? that's like warm air...)
center sun visor above rear-view mirror (also in 2004 WRX, looks funky)
"premium" grade trunk carpet mat
WR Blue with Gold wheels
White, black, silver with gun metal wheels

optional fog lights, projector beam type
optional winter mats

All 2004 impreza uses the same manual and I had a chance to look at a few things:

- the revv LED buzzer is adjustable anywhere from 0rpm to 9000rpm by ...... hmm , I forgot, 100rpm increasements
- "use only pure water for the intercooler spary", during winter, only leave half of the tank full to avoid frezzing up and cracking

run to your nearest Subaru dealers and ask to take a look at the 04 impreza owner's manual, its all good.

Hope you all find this helpful,

no HID , there's A/C , just that (based on pictures) the lowest temperature on the dial is 20C, maybe there's other mode for colder air ... rear seats fold down ... and congrads for your new car coming! Forgive me if there's alot of figer prints the day you get your car, because I'll be there first drolling over it... j/k.

planning to place down payment at september until the chaos is over. :)

:( I am wondering,if we see the U.S. $ amount for these cars , will the canadian sugested retail reflect the exchange rate, its at 1.47 now and 3 months ago it was 1.59, I purchased a 2001 s-2000 honda and it did reflect directly to what the exchange rate was, if the sti does come in at 31000.00 U.S. thats 45500.00 that would make all of us happy, :D

oh the world would be so much brighter if its $45,500 ($50k drive away)! I'm expecting $52,000 +/- 1k for "drive away price" (GST + freigh + crap + crap crap + crap crap crap)

04' WRX + sun roof is $41,000 drive away ... so I'm guessing $51,000 to drive away the STi

Any word if the option foglights replace the foglight covers or simply install behind them? I would be worried about having the fogs on with the covers on - possible meltage.

my personal guess would be fog lights with no cover .... it feels like it is the same process of having a RS / TS with fog lights, you have to take those covers off and have the large fog lights.

not too sure how its going to work ....
