1989 XT for sale

925 Views 6 Replies 4 Participants Last post by  snsd
My brother died in Central Florida (The Villages NW of Orlando) and left his beloved 1989 XT. Running two months ago. Includes has many spare parts for body work and engine that he had collected just in case. Covered in a garage but not street legal since he had removed lights and was working on it. What is this car worth and are there any interested parties. ??

The XT is one weird looking model... but rare(ish) indeed! ^^

I guess you should post LOTS of pictures of the car! That might help you get the answers you need...

Pics coming. Do I post them, somehow, on this site?
Pictures of 1989 Subaru XT (3L horizontal flat 6 engine) are at Picasa Web Albums - Kitch Wilson - September 4, ...
Looks decent, although there's way too much lift in the rear... There's also quite a few missing parts; exterior trim, exhaust, interior, etc.

It's obviously a project car to be finished, which might scare away some people. Was your bro in the process of restoring the car ?

You can expect people to ask the following questions as well:

- Did he own it since new ?

- Mileage (body / engine) ?

- Known issues / work to be done ?

- Which parts are missing ?

Those questions will help determine the car's value...

I love these things.

It might help if you list the transmission and drive train layout. A manual 4wd car will be more desirable for most to start with.
