As I was doing my Cyl 4 cooling mod, I noticed the clamp that holds the steering rack tie rod boot came loose and the boot isn’t secure.
I know this boot is crucial to stopping dirt and other particles from entering steering rack system.
The clamp is unique and I think it’s best if I bring in to the dealer.
Do you guys think I should bring it in for service? I have a Cobb sf intake and AP, and don’t feel like putting everything back to stock for a clamp replacement. I also don’t want them to remove my tie rod cause this will mean I’d need another alignment. Lmk what you guys think

As crazy as it sounds, I saw someone on YouTube use a tie-wrap to hold boot in place. Anyone else tried that method?

I tried using one of those clamps similar to the ones on intakes but it still feels like of loose. Subaru uses a special type of clamp for this boot...

My next attempt is to maybe use a tie-wrap as crazy as it sounds lol
