This is one lap of Pacific Raceweay in Seattle.

And before you ask, yes, I am driving a Miata, and I am on street tires.

The STI is on Victoracers.

You can see that the STI really pulls in the straights, and I catch up in the corners.

Great video, although I would say the STi looked a little hindered by all the traffic in front of it.

Question: How doyou get such non shaky footage? :)

Answer: You gotta be smoooth :D

So, the camera mount is mounted very solidly to the roll bar. It is one of the i/o port mounts and has a urethane isolation bushing to help dampen vibration. What really helps as well is to use a strap to tie the camera to the mount. If you check out the autocross video's on my site, you can see the effects og not tying the camera down.

Thanks for the footage....very cool.

Yeah, with that kind of a traffic-filled pack, I don't think it's safe to make overall comparisons.....but then Miatas are handling Gods anyway. I bet with open road you might still be correct.
