well heres my member journal for iwsti

it started out back in december
i sold my 01 swapped gc
i picked up my lightning red 08 sti bbs with 88 miles on it from santa monica subaru

heres some of the first pics i took of her before anything was done
my 08 sti and my 95 supercharged nsx

the nsx was given to me by my dad as he just passed away jan 14th 2009
it sadly will sit in storage til im 23 or my uncle decides im old enough to drive it

Ahhhh thank you for choosing white wheels... I've been thinking if I should go white or black and in my mind, white was always whispering "Whiiiiite!"

i cant wait til i am able to drive the nsx whenever i want
i love that car and wont get rid of it as it was my dads baby and he loved that car
but yes
black is boring and doesnt stand out

white deffinately makes a statement but if you get white
be prepared to clean your rims atleast once a day.........
lol


i whip them down once or twice a day depending on how much stopping im doing.
alot of town driving
2 times a day

and then once a week i take the rims off and clean the barrel of the rim
cuz alot of dirt and stuff builds up back there and looks ugly

Yeah that's the thing I'm afraid of about white wheels... constant cleaning and my back is not up to task :lol:

well thats the sacrifice you have to take if you want white rims

but to me
my choices were:
red(think red on red would be toooo much)
black(boring and EVERYONE has black rims)
gold(personally i dont like the look...gold on red)
silver(looks alright but nothing to spectacular)
bronze(i think it looks good, doesnt show brake dust much but doesnt make a statement for the car)

White
stands out alot

i got alot of attention from my car when i had my stock bbs on it
now that i have white rims
wow
like 10x more attention
lol

also
my old gc was a draker blue with bronze rims
well the brake dust didnt show up and i didnt wash my car that often
now i give my car more attention......
which she deserves....
whiping the rims down once or twice a day and then washing her atleast once a week if not twice

I was also thinking about bronze wheels, I had bronze on my white 07 and I loved it. Love bronze on red but gold on red is a bit too much of a Christmas feeling.

i got tein monoflex's for a steal

almost brand new for 1150

my buddy who owns a shop had a guy come in who blew his 08 sti motor
parted out the whole car and sold everything for superrr cheap
i deffinately came up
lol

but i got green coilovers
red car
white rims

my car is deffinately xmas
lol

Great cars man.

My gf built a '32 Model A hotrod with her father and he left it for her when he passed from heart issues. She plans to pass it on to her daughter or the kid we plan to have but it will NEVER be sold. Its all she has left to remember him by.
