Re: sysfailur -> AW 08 STi - Update: HKS Exhaust arrived!

Tips look great, but the can looks kinda cheap. All in all a great looking setup though. Any plans for a DP?

Updated main post w/ future mod wish-list of sorts. It's in my plans for the future but as of right now, nope.

TBH a new headunit is what I'm wanting more and more right now. NEEDS THE MEWSICS!

Also, the can really is sturdy. Everything seems top notch to me. Even has like a "JASMA" plate bolted onto the can and the centerpipe instead of a sticker which I thought was pretty cool.

Exhaust installed, sounds great! I will post pics/vids tomorrow most likely.

Some notes also: Install was really easy, fitment was great, and the sound is deep and smooth.

Thx guys, I just got home but tomorrow I'm gonna do a buncha HD filming of this. Some drivebys, maybe a little tunnel action! There's only one tunnel near me, and I gotta pay like $1.50 to go on that stretch of turnpike but, I think imma do it cus it does sound friggin awesome.

Re: sysfailur -> AW 08 STi - Update: HKS legamax installed pics/vids

Here's the vids in HD, sized down a bit. They're in .wmv and should open in VLC or WMP.

1) 71mb - Start up car, first takeoff + driveby.
2) 40mb - 2nd driveby at around 40-45mph or so.
3) 38mb - Blowby in 3rd @ near 6k rpm w/ backoff of throttle.
4) 68mb - Probably my fav. Come to a stop, turn around, near WOT drive-off.
5) 34mb - Shutting off car.
6) 47mb - A little in-car action, windows up, it was hard to position so I didn't record a lot--got up to around 80mph, I think I got up to 4th, 5th gear maybe?
7) 76mb - @ Car wash, a little rev action
8) 31mb - @ Car wash, a close up shot of exhaust + idle sound.

Needless to say, I love how this sounds! Turn up your volume, your bass, and let it rip!

Sounds sweeeeet man. I didnt think i liked the HKS exhaust, i thought it sounded too tame or maybe "ricey" from other clips i heard but in your clips it is definately badass.   Are you running an AP for stage 1? And did you notice and increase in throttle response, torque, hp?

I am not running an AP, no downpipe, no CAI. It's on my list but don't have the cash atm. And tbh it's hard to tell a difference. I would say yes, I can tell a difference but I'm sure it's just butt-dyno at this point until I get tuned.

All in good time.

Is there anything wrong with the files? My comp has been acting up since I downloaded the files.

By your name, I would guess you're using a Mac? If so, I would think maybe you're just missing the proper codec--but they all work for me. They're just your standard .mpg file.
