Question about the FRP bonnet...why so cheap? Quality issues? How's fitment? I'm very tempted to get it just since it's so cheap and my buddy is painting my WRX decklid to match my car.

Better deal for both the roof vent and the bonnet? Deal for a potential future bay area member??? :D  ;)

We're letting the FRP hoods go for cheap mainly due to space. If you've been by lately, we are totally out of space! (over 150 sets of wheels, lots of body stuff in stock). The fitment on the hood is very good, we paid extra to get the mold polished every time they made one. It's lighter than stock and great for race applications. :)

Cheers,

Yes, the USDM fogs use a different connector, bulb, and housing. As usual the JDM stuff is a bit higher quality. :)

Should bonnet pins be used on this FRP unit?

The hood can be used with the stock hood release, but if you are using it as a race application, I would recommend hood pins.

On that note, will anything special be needed to install the JDM fogs? Aside from the headlight housing.
The JDM fogs actually go in the location of the bumper, you'll need either a JDM bumper or WRX bumper for them to drop in. The nice thing about these fogs is there is no inside wiring required, you simply pop in the components that it comes with and it's wired ready to go. The only thing would be modifying the harness at the very front of the car, because the US fogs use a different Sumi connector.

I was just wondering that since you say it's lighter than stock and fibreglass can crack over time. I was also figuring three locking points of contact are better than one. :)

Still deciding... :notsure:
