the BBS must weigh around that, but i still severly doubt a forged rim is going to weigh 19 lbs esp stock rims.

Seems heavy to me as well, but look at the loads of forged wheels that are heavy. Heck, even the BBS REs are pretty heavy. Granted they're 18", but they also weigh more than 20lbs for a forged wheel.

In fact a lot of forged BBS wheels have always leaned on the heavier side vs. Volks.

I'm pretty sure a nice set of CAST Enkei RPF1s are lighter size-to-size.

I weighed my wheels with RE070s with about 9K miles on them and they came out to be about 45lbs.

Comparing forged wheels to cast wheels isn't really a fair thing to do in several respects; weight, strength, and resistance to bending are a few. The stock wheels are forged and are very, very strong. Folks even use them on their rally cars.

True, I just merely brought it up since forged seems to be the way people need to go, when in reality there are also some really nice, light, and strong cast wheels out there. It isn't the casting of old in some of these new wheels.
