Just arrived to my first duty station in North Dakota, need a car to get around and one that's good in snow. What better car to get than an STI, since I've heard so much about them. Just wanted to know if this seems worth it.

2004 Subaru WRX STi $14500

127k miles. was a daily driver. currently in storage until its sold.
Engine rebuilt at 78k by a reputable shop in Chicago. I have a folder of records and receipts.

Clean title in hand. No liens

Runs good. Havent had any real issues. Ive changed oil, tightened a belt, turned rotors and new brake pads, fixed the blower fan, and rebuilt the front calipers. Ive owned it since last year. Filled up with premium fuel every time.

I don't know enough to say anything about the car - but you need a VIN number for the car to check its carfax.
Get a compression/leakdown test done. Who is the "reputable shop?" Who tuned the car?
Seems like a decent car, price might be a little higher than I'd want to pay but seems fair. I would definitely think about replacing that oil pickup tube for some extra peace of mind though.
i see P&L parts on the mod list and that makes me think they could possibly have tuned it. i heard they recently went downhill on their way of doing business. more about quantity rather than quality and their customer service gets sour if you come to them with any issues after they work on your car.

edit: took the time to read the ad, P&L is located in Chicago sooo chances are pretty high that they did the work.
