Does any know if anybody offers stiffer strings for STi's without lowering the car? My STi covers all my ski trips and thus I don't want to lower the car at all... it is pretty low for snow plowing as is.

I was looking at Impreza WRC cars and they seemed to have more ground clearance than stock STi's (which would make sense) but I doubt these cars have softer suspension than stock STi, even for gravel spec WRC car.

Maybe try the rce black springs. Very mild drop and awsome springs.

Only thing that's going to be stiff without excessive lowering is a coilover. There are no replacement springs that don't lower. However, most street coilovers lower the car an appreciable amount even at the highest recommended setting.

Best thing to do would be run coilovers with rates that you like and swap out for the stock suspension in the winter.

If you had an 04 you could run Forester springs.

WRC cars run fully adjustable (including height) spec coilovers for different conditions (snow, gravel, tarmac, the in betweens, etc) with considerably higher travel and spring rates than a road going production car.

A gravel coilover will raise your height and travel but is not going to be any where near ideal on the street.

You sound like a perfect candidate for swaybars front and rear. :)

Hehehe, already have fat sways in front and rear. :D The problem is that initial turn in feels crisp but springs don't seem to be able to keep up.

I guess I probably will need to get your RCE blacks as suggested... 15mm drop shouldn't be too bad for ski trips. Might have to put some garage seals on the bumper lip
