definitely a known problem with Subaru. I had it on my 05, no tint. took it to the dealership and all they did was apply some lithium grease then told me to come back if it happens again.

if you guys trust your dealership and dont have time to grease it, take it in.

My 06 did this, so far it hasnt happened in the 07 yet, but i suppose that will change in the upcomming months, like someone said, i sorta like the noise, it does give it character :D

My windows make a rattling clunking sound when I close the door with the window cracked open a little bit. I know its normal, but its make the car feel so cheap!
Would you rather have this or have framed doors? I only close/open my doors when my windows are fully up or fully down. I don't want to put any unnecessary stress on them by pushing on the windows when they are partially lowered. I love the frameless doors on the Imprezas.... but they just had to go and change it

the noise is very embarrassing, esp when you roll down to talk to someone or with a new passenger

it is the triangular rubber piece that contacts the window
its simply rubber against glass
lube a little with silicone spray
do not spray into the door
use a qtip or something and apply to just the inside edges of the triangle
and walah (sp?) its gone

dealer will also take care of this for you under warranty
it happened on my old RS, they fixed it w/o me knowing during my oil change

now to fix that annoying seatbelt screech ahhhh

Yeah, eXstasy - I freaking *love* the frameless doors on our car... I've always felt it was such a nice touch. Call me crazy, but I actually prefer our frameless doors over my friend's 3-series coupe... those doors are so heavy and big, the glass always seems so floppy.

Real Deal - it's "voila".
