Just a thought, but has anyone considered the dual small heat exchangers with fans in each fog light area like the Porsche turbo cars use? They use twin exchangers (and you can upgrade to a third small one in the middle) linked together and placed in each front corner. Just something my friend and I have looked at.

After careful thinking, I came up with a simple metaphor that should be able to tactfully explain why I think differently. A turbocharger scavenges energy from flowing exhaust gasses to make more power. We see very large gains in power per liter of displacement in engines by putting a device on it that forces more air into the cylinder. More air = more power. The idea behind lower temperatures is denser air. Using your closed system logic, then a turbocharger should not cause an engine to make more power. Ergo, using the energy of the system to force a larger amount of air into the cyliners can and will produce more power than is used to drive the device if it is engineered properly.

I've thought about this as well, either up front or have one exchanger at the rear of the car as well to make it look like a rear diff cooler.

Type 100 sized exchanger in the frame. It would still sit infront of the radiator and such, but from the outside perspective people would think upgraded radiator. The massive surface area of the type 100 is enough for 600-1200 HP according to frozenboost... it's just a matter of fitment at this point.

I'd say not a huge issue. Air will still pass through, granted have not seen people try it yet. If I do go that route, I'll be upgrading my radiator and fans along with shrouding the area properly to increase air flow over the system.

And as I drove to lunch I thought about your question. S2Ks usually use an air to air intercooler that completely blocks the radiator. Some kits like the greddy upgrade the radiator and the shroud to combat the decreased air flow and higher temperature of the air.

Id hesitate to go that route. Stacking should be fine as long as the radiator still gets enough air flow.
