wannaGOFAST.com is proud to present the Texas 1/2 Mile Shootout! This incredible 2-DAY event will be held on November 12th & 13th, 2016 at the Beautiful Sulphur Springs Airport (KSLR Facebook Page) in Sulphur Springs, TX. Located only 80 miles outside of Dallas, Sulphur Springs, is a beautiful quaint town that provides the perfect backdrop for high speed fun!! Come join us for 2 FULL DAYS of, side-by-side, HALF MILE racing at this rare and exclusive location. All of our participants will be given a chance to take their vehicle’s Top Speed down Sulphur Spring’s 5002ft runway and race door-to-door against the competitor of their choice!! See what it’s finally like to race without the restrictions of speed limits, on what is basically your own private interstate in Central Texas!! This event is limited to only 135 cars per day and is sure to sell out quick!! So register today and we promise to make your automotive DREAMS come true!! There will also be a static aircraft display for plane lovers as well!

Host Hotel/Lodging Info:

The 3 Host Hotels for this event will be the Holiday Inn Express (903-885-6851) with a $75/per night rate plus tax, the Best Western (903-885-7515) with a rate of $64.99/per night plus tax and the Hampton Inn (903) 439-4646 with a rate of $84/night plus tax. Please call either of these hotels at the number provided and mention you are with the "wannaGOFAST" group and they will provide you the discounted rate.

The Driver Registration deadline is October 14th, 2016. It is very likely this event will sell out far BEFORE the deadline. So please register now to ensure your spot for November 12th & 13th, 2016.

Pricing:

Drivers:

$225/ea (per day) in advance before September 16th, 2016, or $400 for a 2-Day Pass.

$250/ea (per day) in advance after September 16th, 2016, or $450 for a 2-Day Pass.

**To register as a "Driver" for both days simply click on the "2DayPass" Option in the drop down menu.

All Driver's will be treated to a private catered lunch!

Driver’s you must Pre-Pay Online!

*There is no limit to the number of passes you can make! You will only be restricted by the turnover time that each runs takes.

Spectators:

Adults: $20/ea (per day)
Children 12 and under: $10/ea (per day)

EVENT SCHEDULE:

Driver Check-In/Tech Inspection: 7:45AM
Staging Begins For Drivers/First Run of the Day: 9:00AM
Gates Open To Spectators: 9:00AM
Break For Lunch: 12:00-1:00PM
Last Run Of The Day: 6:00PM
Awards Ceremony: 6:15PM


  • The event is limited to 135 cars per day, no motorcycles
  • All driver’s will be required to wear helmets for this event.
  • We take cash only at the gate for spectators.
  • Spectators must provide their own tents and chairs for this event.
  • All speeds will be recorded with a dual-lane speed trap system.


Driver Registration Will Open On September 9th, 2016 at 8AM CENTRAL TIME!!
