more pics:
First "Show". This was at Uconn on April 19th. I was the only 2008 STI there and one of only 3 08's total.

new Wheels...
still don't have the Rays black lugs on yet but here are pics from my lunch break in the rain.... So I ended up going with the TRmotorsport MT1's in the 18x9.5 45mm offset. Each wheel with lugs should only be 19.4 lbs which is big drop from the 28+ lbs stockers. For now i just had the stock 245/40/18 stretched on till i burn them off this summer and then get some 275-305's... (stock 5 spoke wheels are going to get uses as winters with snow tires)
now the car just needs a 2-3in drop......

i know, i know she is screamen for some drop... saven my pennies for some coilovers.. i was putting money aside for a CBE, but it looks like the one i want is not going to be out till "june/july" (so that could mean aug/sept???)

So i mine as well put that money toward a set of Cusco Zero2E coilovers. After you get past wiring in the E-con controller, which i guess takes forever...other guys that already have them on their 08's seem happy with them.

I thought I would share a few things… when my 08 sti had about 3500 miles on it I flashed the Cobb Stage 1 map. I know different people have different impressions of it, but for me it was like night and day… the car ran so much better and smoother. The available power seemed to take a huge leap. Needless to say, I was very happy with said results. Today at 5500 miles I installed my cobb 3” catted down pipe (and heat shield) and reflashed with the 93oct stage 2 map… the results are not as impressive, I was kind of expecting more… for those of you that are concerned with noise an don’t want a loud car that will attract additional attention, running the cob DP with the stock CBE sounds the exact same to me. Yes you hear some more turbo noise, but the exhaust sounds just as quiet. My CBE is going on next week so I will have a full week to evaluate my current setup. Has anyone else shared my experience after their jump from Cobb stage 1 to 2

How do you like the TR motorsports wheels? Do you have any more pictures of them? I was looking at those as well for my AW '08 STi.
