I usually use my fluted bolt removers for that...and if I dont have correct size go a size down and hammer it on, especially as the vice grips didnt work...

Anyone have part numbers for the tranny drain plug, and new gasket for removing the pan?

Thanks,

Don't have the number though they are online. No gasket. it's an adhesive/silicone or something.
