Default Help WIth SCCA Solo Class

I have been reading the rule book and think I have the right idea about what class I am in; but just wanted to make sure by asking people who might have a different opinion. I am thinking my car is classed in Street Prepared; but just wanted to make sure. All my mods are listed in sig. If it's not listed then it' stock. Thanks!

While I am no expert, I'd say Street Prepared is where you belong (BSP to be specific). As best I can tell, the Stg. 2 tune and fuel pump kick you from STU to BSP. I'm not entirely sure of the oil catch can. According to 13.10 G in 2008 rules for Stock classes:

"...The installation of oil catch tanks is allowed provided the PCV system is
not altered."

I'm running STU now but I plan to switch to BSP for next season. Depending on the catch can, you could ditch the fuel pump for now, drop back to stock tune or get STU-legal protune, and go for STU

I would rather not revert back to stock tune because of having a 07 and the problems the stock tune has. I might look into a STU legal tune. But thanks for the info!!!

You are BSP. If you have a catted DP, you can drop boost levels back to stock and run STU. If you are not catted, you will need a cat and stock boost levels to run STU. You can still run a custom tune, it just needs to have stock boost levels.

Only the stock wing or wing off of update/backdate is allowed by the rules. limited wing would be ok. That said, only a seriously weak loserville weenie would put in a protest.

This is incorrect. You can have any wing as long as it is within the allowed square footage. You must also have a third brake light installed if you remove the one in the stock wing.

Yea I think I remember reading that it is ok to have any wing as long as it is within the right dimensions. Would I have to throw back on the stock catted DP or can I use an aftermarket one to qualify for STU?

Aftermarket is fine as long as it conforms to the rules. Something about not too far from original placement or something like that.
