Default [2008 STi] 550whp daily driven, HTA86, IAG Built

To preface here is a brief history of my car:

15,000 miles to 60,000 miles running the IAG rotated kit/meth with a tune from Jorge (>400whp) on a daily driven stock motor, pistons were perfect on teardown

60,000 miles to 85,000 miles running IAG built longblock with a tune from Jorge (>500whp) daily driven, zero oil consumption.

Iíve put 25k miles on my IAG built longblock and way past their warranty period of 1year/12k miles I am going to venture to say not any shop can build a reliable, 500whp daily driven Subaru. It is incumbent on a shop to have years of experience and exacting attention to detail and a meritorious tuner with peerless acumen pertaining to his craft to account for the dizzying array of factors that is inherent in building a highly modded Subaru. Going the path of finding a place to build a motor, another place to install the motor, and another place to tune the motor makes for a tenuous prospect of having a long lasting build. The shop and the tuner have to function as a cohesive whole to make projects like these successful. IAG and Jorge is like Brady/Belichick, love or hate them, you gotta respect them If I ever move out of the DMV area, I will always send my car or future projects to IAG because they get **** done right. Think of them as the Johns Hopkins of the Subaru world (both are in Maryland, coincidence? I donít think so).

Oh yeah whatís it like DD a 500whp Subaru? I sure as hell get to work a lot quicker and it is ****ing invigorating like snorting 8-ball of cocaine in the morning.

Nice. I will be tuning a similar engine with gsc cams for the dual avcs heads, but using the stock build 2.0 block. No longblock. So would be interesting to see the results. The mod list is a little close to yours.

Any close up pics and vids?

How do you find the Kelford cams over the GSC or why IAG pick those over the GSC S2?

Kelfords 272s are more aggressive than GSC S2 since they have 11.3mm and 11.5mm of lift on the intake and exhaust side, respectively. Plus IAG has built many heads with Kelfords and have always gotten phenomenal results/reliability so they stuck with a winning formula

There are like 5 very good Subaru shops 15min away from me yet I still go to IAG that is 50min away

Think of it like this, if you have the common cold or flu (Stage 1/2 mod bug), you go to your nearby family doctor or your county hospital to get it addressed. But if you have a very complicated medical issue (uncontrollable, fulminant mod bug that requires built motor and big turbo), you go to Johns Hopkins
