To make it different/unique than any other subie or car that I have seen...and don't even go there with the whole "it adds weight to your car"...the entire roll of vinyl with the box was 7lbs...not much when you paint your car. If you get a chance hold the weight of the primer, paint and clear coat...it is quite a bit of weight.

BTW that isn't me in the picture with my car...that is my skinny fan boy friend...didn't want you to get the wrong impression.

I think the cf wrap looks badass, and you did a awesome job of putting it on.

No offense intended, my friend. It's just not my thing and I really didn't understand (1) why you'd do something like that then (2) post in the WRB thread.

Honestly I was hoping you'd come back and say that you were going to rally cross the car and wanted to protect the paint.

I actually DID put the wrap on to protect the paint also besides making it different. I hit a deer last year and had some extensive body work done and new paint so I was thinking about doing the clear bra thing but then after some more research decided to just do the whole thing...by the way it was WAAAAAYYYY more work than I anticipated. It took 60 hours to do by myself! The reason I put it in this thread was to show the change from WRB to the carbon look. You also need to see it in person...I have had numerous people come up to me standing right next to the car, feel the texture of the carbon and still ask me if it real carbon fiber.

This was from the Minneapolis trip on Saturday. About 3 inches thick, iced on in the back

Some pictures with Mike from a while ago.

A girl Mike is friends with owns that one. Really clean. They need to make the Celica again with AWD and a turbo, like the GT-Four. DAMN that would be sex.
