1. 1990 Civic SI Hatchback - Put a big fat can on it because I was 15 and obsessed with Need for Speed Underground. Thought it was the bee's knees at the time

2. 1995 Ford Mustang (V6) - GT rear end, ported heads, intake, full exhaust, and just a sled

3. Here's something a little different. A 1995(?) Mazda MX6 with a KLZE; 2700 pound car with 200HP. It actually went like stink for such a little car until I blew the clutch. Anyone interested in a cheap, fun, autocross car should check those out.

4. Bought another MX6. Fun cars and dirt cheap.

5. 2005 Cobalt SS - Intake and exhaust. Definitely unique sound with the blower. Feels like it was made by Hasbro though. Everything is plastic, pretty sure my leather seats were secretly plastic.

6. 2010 STI hatch. I love it. I baby it though, feeling the urge to make it a weekend car so I can actually have fun with it without blowing something and being left without a daily driver.

For me it all started in 1987, I was 16 and got a loan for $9000 (parents co-sighed) and bought a 1985 Mustang GT.

In 1993 I tried the Crotch rocket thing and bought a 1993 GSXR 750.

In 1996 I bought a 1994 Corvette. Before we had kids!

In 1998 we bought a 1998 Lexus GS400. 4.0V8. Was a great car!

In 1998 we also bought our first and ONLY SUV. A 1998 Lincoln Navagator. What a hunk of junk!

In 2001 we bought a 2001 Acura TL. What a boring car!

In 2002 We bought a 2002 Lexus IS300 5spd. Great car but slow!

In 2004 we ordered a 2004 Laguna Seca Blue E46 M3. Best car we owned!

In 2008 we bought a Lexus IS 350. Pretty darn quick 13.4sec!

In 2013 my youngest son talked me into a 2013 LE Orange STI. The rest is history!

Then in 2015 we bought my wife the 2016 HyperBlue STI. Love it too.

That's my history! I have always had at least one car payment and I will go to my grave with one!

Damn you guys have some bold cars. Love the m3, had to be one of the best cars of recent memory. Your earlier cars remind me of my love for the 90s. Everything was a bit awkward but it was awesome.

Have to give you credit for paying off that mustang. I thought 5k was hard enough at that age (99 r6). Bike was actually only 3500 the rest was gear etc. After that was stolen I found an even cheaper bike hahaha. Gsxr600 for 2800. Has unpainted fiberglass plastics because the guy had laid it down going quite fast. Probably bad juju with that (I ended up hit on that bike) but hey...

Ill try to find some photos from my old hard drive

Haha well back in the old days we used scanners to digitize old photographs. It's funny though, you could almost get more memories from the few photos on a roll vs the hundreds we take w phones now etc.

If you didn't deal with snow, and didn't need AWD, would you have kept your BRZ?

I was just thinking about that! I was looking at your pics and was trying to decide whether it was the Lexus or the STI that you transitioned to digital

i didnt get rid of the brz for awd or cause of the snow. the small space was getting to me. i have two pit bulls that love car rides and i just couldnt take them anywhere in the brz. i have a couple buddies getting their cars built and the small space and cramming them in the back was getting annoying haha. the brz was fun as hell. slow as shit but fun for what it was.

I've had many since '93, these are really the only ones worth mentioning.

'07 Z. Bought new, still have it, only 20k miles. 650+ whp.

'09 Triumph Speed Triple 1050. My attempt to turn it into a café racer.

'09 G37. Left this one stock.

'06 Yamaha 600. My first bike.

And the STI! My favorite so far. Haven't even driven the Z since January of last year.
