Default Do you let your GF talk to guys?

Short story
When me and her first started dating everything was cool, I had girls that were friends and vica versa. All the sudden she didn't want me talkin to any girls on the phone and didn't want me to have there numbers or anything. I am really laid back and don't really care but after that I wanted her to do the same no guys phone #s nor talk to any guys.

Now all the sudden she wants to go back to how we were before and thats great but when I see her textin guys and **** something just don't feel right.

Just wondering how other people in relationships are when it comes to having other friends of the opposite sex...

I've always been a strong believer of letting your girl talk to other guys... as long as she understands how you feel. For example, I know my girlfriend knows better than to hang out with a guy alone at his place. She also knows that if she isn't open about it then I start to get suspicious/jealous. It works both ways for us. We trust each other enough not to let ourselves get into a situation that will end up with a mistake. Apart from not talking to members of the opposite sex it's the best safeguard.

The key is for both to admit that we're human. If I'm hanging out with a girl all the time and I'm in close proximity to her, chances are questions of feelings will start to come up. It's not that I'm a lying cheating asshole, it's just that I'm human. We're social animals and I'm young and have hormones. Therefore, I don't let it get to that. I'll hang out with the girl, and if I really want to hang out with her more I'll try to get my girlfriend involved. It keeps us honest. It's worked for us so far.

My GF can talk to who ever she wants. I trust her. She gave me some issues early on about talking to other girls and I set her straight real quick. Since then, no problems

It is really strange that she is changing her initial idea all of the sudden. I would def look into that a bit more

Yeah I agree with 4seaons by the way. When there is such a sudden drastic change on a rule SHE set up, chances are something is afoot.

My gf and I are in a long distance relationship, I'm in Buffalo, she's in Pittsburgh, both for school. She's met a lot of guys there who live on her floor, in her classes, etc. A few of them have her number. She doesn't give the number to pick up guys though, she does it to meet friends, see where the parties are, and so forth. There have been 2 times where the guys turn out to be creepers, one guy even said he was starting to fall for her after one day, hah. She set them straight quick, and told the ones who were big time creepers to **** off, and the ones who were friends she told that she has a bf who she loves, and will never cheat on, so don't even think about it. I've met most of the guys she talks to at school. Most are neighbors, or somewhere on her floor, she goes to there rooms to hang out, watch TV, but I fully trust them, and her. Talk to her about it, if in fact it is bugging you. Odds are, there is probably nothing going on, just worrying, so definitely sit her down and tell her how you're feeling.

My GF can talk to whomever she wants. If you can't trust each other enough to let the other person talk to members of the opposite sex, then that could be a bad sign.
