I'm curious to see what comes of this, last week I installed RCE yellows and RCE camber plates. I race SCCA autocross competitively so I was looking for something that would increase my performance and get rid of the front end being sky high. Im in a 2010 sti hatchback. Before the camber plates I was on the Spec-C springs which are very stiff compared to the RCE yellows, initially that is, after more driving the yellows seem just as stiff, but the progressive spring makes the daily driving better. Im curious about the 2015+ struts/shocks because id like to limit the down travel a little more than what the stock STI strut offers.

I have doubts regarding these being on par with the GTWORK set-up but I'm liking the results thus far. The drop looks ideal and I would imagine ride quality is better than the Bilstein/RCE Combo.

I am also curious about alignment as you'll likely need to add rear adjustment and the toe-in issues under load should be obvious as well.

It might only be 1/2" now, but depending on the amount of driving you've done, the springs might settle some more.
FWIW I don't think springs actually settle, it is the rubber isiolators that get crushed a bit, and results in what we call settling.

That and the rubber top-hats also settle, COM-Cs settle by at least 6mm, the OEM ones, IDK yet.

Oh Waw, only 1/2" drop. That's awesome!

So Bilstein B8 + 2015 spring can be a viable option also then.

driving feels alot better coming from the 08. more firm and stiff, but not harsh

going to add some whiteline com c hats get an alignment. overall I feel satisfied with the upgrade, but I'm no suspension expert. might be better than some lowering spring swaps out there for the GR chassis, and maybe on par with the gtworx?
This is good news.

Is the 1/2" drop noticeable? Looking at your pic it seems the back isn't much lower but the front is more noticeable. Then again I have a 11' sedan and the back of mine is very close to yours now...your front however looks noticeably lower.

I would also think after doing this mod a suspension alignment would be necessary right?

Aignment is required for any suspension or steering work, except sway bars and endlinks.

Thank you so much man! you are the real MVP here for getting it done!! The dampening must feel a lot better than your previous set.

How is everything holding up? Any change in handling attributes that you've noticed?

Good to see our initial thoughts come into light!

Have you gotten a chance to get an alignment, if so what was your max camber?

Also, anyone who plans to run the 15+ suspension, DO NOT add lowering springs. The 15+ STI suspension has less bump travel than the GRs. Lowering springs will not only slam the car but you will constantly be on the bump stops.
