Dyno hopefully by the end of the week. (More whp b/c of drivetrain/suspension upgrades)

Pickup the next week.

Then to the wheel shop to put my 245's on the 18x9.5" Work Emotion 11R's

Drive Car.

No more modding for a while. (unless i see something i like )

Very interested in seeing how the 245s fit and look on those wheels. So far, I'm getting the same wheels but I was planning on going for a meaty look with 265s. Can you take a bunch of pics for me once they're mounted?

For sure will snap some pics , I have 245's on my OEM BBS wheels and they are relatively new, so I thought in the meantime I may as well reuse them. Also since my car will now be lowered, trying to avoid any rolling for now. I will go with 255's next time probably. (just b/c these are much more readily available in my area.) and I don't mind the look of a slightly stretched tire. (235's are the smallest i can legally put on 9.5" rims.)

Default 2008 JDM Sti - EFR7670, Kelford 272's | 500whp on Pump @ 32psi

I got some Toyo Proxes T1 Sport 255/35/RZ18 put on my Work Emotions today, got a really good deal on them through a friend. Will get them on the car as soon as I get it back next week.

They have good reviews all around as a Ultra High Performance tyre, except for rolling resistance and fuel economy which is not really an issue for me.

They have a Y speed rating so I can hit 185mph (i think ill hit the rev limiter before then )

Default Re: 2008 JDM Sti - Top Speed 192mph

With my 6th gear ratio of 0.842, Final drive ratio of 3.9, tyre size of 255/35/R18, and a rev limit of 8500rpm, I can get to 192mph, haha maybe i should have got better tyres.

Top Speed Calculator

Also Based on the website below, with a Drag cd of 0.36, Frontal Area 22.6sq/ft, weight 3400lbs including me, and a target of 192mph, I need 415.75hp ( i assume this is crank) which I have approx 630hp. It is possible!

And a pair of mondo cajones!

That would be awesome to experience. I've driven into the 165-170mph range and it was pretty damn exciting. You'll want to have everything dialed in to roll that fast.

And I want a video!

I've been 165mph on the old tune.
I will make one for sure if i can find somewhere to go that fast, as on all roads here in New Zealand it will be 3 times the speed limit

Default Re: 2008 JDM Sti - Insurance Update

Just sent a page long list of my modifications to my insurance company to update my policy.
Previously it was very vague on the modifications so I thought I better get it sorted.
If I destroy the car, it is paid out at market value, which is currently listed at half the amount I have spent on it (an estimate by me), so to get a realistic amount I need to get the car valued, which I will do once I get it back. Lets hope I can get it valued as high as possible, so my life isn't shattered too much in the event of an accident.

I don't want to jump the gun on you because I know more pics are coming, but can I get a side view showing how the tire sits on the lip of the rim?
