Who spends $$$ for a 600hp power train but stock suspension?

Jeremy.
And only Jeremy.

Don't be like Jeremy.

It’s not really stock, only the struts and dampers are stock but okay you win, or do I with my “stock” suspension

Got the car back today, haven’t been for a proper thrash yet, but the drivability is like night vs day compared to how it used to be amazing. All the sensors working as they should and hit 110k rpm on the turbo The SI drive has been reconfigured so S# is the high boost now. Will test the anti lag tomorrow and hopefully get some clips.

Turbo Speed Sensor

New HV Electronics air temp sensor

Current engine bay pic, a bit form over function but that’s okay by me!

Portion of the exhaust replaced with the new Lambda sensor location.

Back in the garage (with the awesome centre exhaust ) - for you Idin

Had a chat to the tuner last night, pretty much the engine is not quite as efficient as it should be for the amount of air pumping through the engine, it should be making more power, but without inspecting the engine and starting to take it apart its really hard to tell what the issue might be, could be cams/port job or something else to do with the engine, encouragingly though apart from being a little bit inefficient it seems quite healthy. I'm starting to get to the edge of efficiency of the EFR7670 turbo, for the amount of air i'm flowing through it with the RPM hitting the mid 120k rpm with the limit being 139k rpm, there will still be gains to be had with E85, and at this stage i don't think its worth starting to take apart the engine for that extra 10%. Still a lot of development to be had without increasing the power with suspension, little bit of aero and of course driver development. (For the driver improvement, i can now log brake pressure which will be helpful for laptimes )

Default '08 JDM Sti - NZ Superlap R1 Next Weekend - Prep

Did some prep on the weekend for this weekends first round of NZ Superlap, this Staturday and Sunday. Took the car for a test drive to make sure its going alright and did some logging, seems to be going well hitting 32psi of boost on, however it likes to start blowing the silicon piping off the throttle body, have moved them closer to the bead, so hopefully it stays on for a least few laps at a time. Also doesnt like holding an idle when hot, however have sent the logs to the tuner for some analysis. Excited to see what laptimes i can pull out. I also swapped the rear wheels to the front to try get some more front end grip, they are pretty worn, will leave the rear sway bar on the stiffest setting, and front loose, to try get rid of the understeer, will have to watch braking oversteer on the faster circuit. Will play with tyre pressures over the weekend. Also removed all the rear seats and boot trim to try save a bit of weight. Not looking forward to the noisy 4hr drive to the circuit tho!
