Hi, I've been a member on this forum for awhile, but haven't gotten a chance to start a build thread. Also because I want to use good quality, and rare parts whenever I can. I know I'm going to get some people that thinking spending so much on a part is ridiculous, and that it should have spent somewhere else or on more then one thing. I don't have a set time when I want to finish my build, because the truth is that you'll never be done. So I decided that I would get the parts that many people wouldn't get.

The way I came across my STI, is I was working out of town for 9 months. Not to mention that it was my first job out of town, first job of my apprenticeship and first time working away from home. Through the 9 months, I worked long hours and through hot summers and freezing winters. After the 9 months it was March 2012. After settling down and getting everything unpacked, I decided to treat myself to a new car. I've been looking for a STI for years, but didn't really have the finances at the time. I went to Wolfe Subaru in Langley, and within 45 mintues of walking in. I was a proud owner of a brand new 2012 SWP STI.

Sales person was sending me pics of my car before pickinng it up:

I would definitely like to thank Mark, Derek, Avi, Jonny, Ben and their team at Bulletproof Automotive for their great customer service and high quality parts. They're sponsorship definitely helped me achieve my goals, and I definitely plan on working with them more in the future.

And I would also to thank Rick, JJ and their team at IAG Performance for their sponsorship too. Without the help and knowledge, I don't know where I would be. Hopefully we can work on a few more detail, and I would love to bring my car over to your shop for some custom work.

To the best local shop, they perform regular maintainence to custom one off builds. Curtis and his team at The Speed Syndicate has the best customer service. And big thanks to them helping do all the installing of the Varis kit in 3 days!!! Also for letting me hang around the shop when I bored!!!

Re: Panda STI Top Secret Gold Frozen Carbon TE37!!!

those frozen carbon wheels are really nice. is it just a carbon overlay on one spoke? it appears that way, just wanted to know for sure.
The wheel has been milled out, but not enough to mess with the structural integrity of the wheel. Then layers of real carbon fiber was layed on top, until it sat flush with the wheel.

Re: Panda STI Top Secret Gold Frozen Carbon TE37!!!

Wow this car has come a long ways, I didn't even realize it was the same vehicle as your first few posts on the first page (it's been a while since I browsed the forum haha). Car looked good at the illmotion show in Calgary.
crazy huh? I remember seeing this thing when it was modded with only wheels and the expensive exhaust. one season and look at it now!

Re: Panda Varis STI - 3 Month MIA

Hey Guys, sorry I've been MIA for the past 3 months. In those 3 months, I have ordered a few more parts, lots of ideas, a track event, a car show, met many new friends, car getting rejected from the states, went to Sema and visited old friends, flew to Hong Kong for 17 days for a tattoo, and getting the cover for the 2015 IWSTI Subaru Calender. Also Tokyo Auto Salon and HKS Premium Day in January.

1. For the people that don't follow me on IG, which I update more often then here. My Varis VSDC Hood and Varis Carbon Fiber Flow Guards arrived and is just collecting dust in the Bulletproof Warehouse. I also ordered one of the very first set of Valenti Tail Lights.

2. So the track event was unbelieveable!!! I can't thank our fellow member Daryll (aka. oldturd), he showed me what my car could do and for being a great instructor!!! I didn't expect much from the track, boy was I wrong. I had an absolute blast, and definitely has me rethinking about how I am going to build my car.

3. I was able to attend the ImportMeet DriftCon (last show of the year). With the help of my new friends, I was able to take home Best Subaru and Best Track Build.

4. I am very fortunate to meet some great people through car related activities. I made plenty of friends in Seattle and San Diego. Also I am very lucky to meet now my good friend Cullen Chueng, he shoots professionally. You can see some of his work in the Super Street magazine. But you can see all his work on his flickr account:
https://www.flickr.com/photos/cullencheung/sets/
If any of you guys would like a professional to shoot your car, portraits, or anything. Email him: cullencheungphotos@gmail.com
I will be posting his pics, in the next few post throughout the winter
Also meeting the Project Zero guys in San Diego, was an absolute blast! I only wish I hanged with them more then one day. They had me feel like family, and for allowing me to be apart of their team.

5. Not too many people know this, but I was trying to get my car down for Sema. And I was planning on leaving the car down in California with my sponsors for a few months. I had the transit truck all lined up in Washington and everything was set. Long story short, because I wasn't going to be with the car the entire trip. They were worried that I was going to show it off and try to find a buyer for my car. Even though that is complete crap, I would never sell this car. So I basically sat at the boarder for 5 hours, while they searched the car, asked me questions and made me feel like a criminal. Finally I gave up and cut my losses and went back home. A week later, I was going to go to my second track event in Washington. I even had to organizer vouch for me, saying that I am going to the track event. Long story short again, I sat at the boarder for another 4 hours while they did they're thing. Saying my car is black flagged, from my previous entrance. This time the officer was nice enough to tell me that, if the same officer was working last time. He would talk to him and ask for a better reason for not letting me in. Again I cut my losses and went home. I still ended up going to Sema without my car :crying:

6. Off I went to California, without my car. I had a blast there, from pulling an all nighter at Bulletproof office getting all their cars ready for Sema to eating so much good food. The only thing that made Sema better, was that we got upgraded to the Penthouse at Vdara. All was needed was a little $40 sandwhich   Sema was really cool, got to see some great cars and some not so great cars

7. First of all, if you haven't been to Hong Kong or Macau. It is place that is must to visit. It was the first time going back without my parents, and it was one of the best experience. Lots of cool things to see and eat!!! Oh yea, my tattoo

This was 5 sessions in 2 weeks, if anybody knows anything about tattooing. That is a lot, and it was quite painful.

8. I got some good news from Subaru Calenders, that I was going to be on the Cover of their 2015 calender. I can't say thanks to everyone that was involved with the build, and all my friends that I made along the way.

I am super excited about Japan!!! These few months has been unreal. I'm glad I could share this to you guys!

Re: Panda Varis STI - Japan and Thailand Update

Hey guys, I've been gone for awhile. For the past month in January, I was Japan and Thailand. Yes I was there for the Auto Salon and HKS Premium Day. I just have to say that it has been incredicle trip, and definitely have to rethink my spending  . Seems like I like travelng more then cars now. But that doesn't I will stop modding, just means I will take more time to build my car. In the past couple months, I've changed a few things on the car. Ifyou'd like to take a look at my pics from Japan and Thailand. You can check out my flickr: https://www.flickr.com/photos/126195545@N07/sets/72157650528624201/

I also found a passion in taking photos, in no way I am a professional. Just doing it has a hobby to preserve memories.

I promise to post back about the changes to my car ;)

Re: Panda Varis STI - January Japan and Thailand Update

Just some updates, I recently bought a used killer b headers with ewg. Yes that means I finally get to lose the rumble!!! Unfortunately, it did not fit. It was about 5mm off. The previous owner said they had to stretch it, I didn't want to do that so I just sent the headers back. Did anybody else have that problem?
I ended up getting a set of tomei headers from a friend and next day shipped it out.

Heres a short clip of what my car sounds like now:

Yea I sound like a FRS!!!

Re: Panda Varis STI - New Parts and Potential Sponsor

Its been awhile since I've updated you guys.

I have a contact for Yokohama Canada, I asked for a partial sponsorship. My contact agreed to it, and the contact is in the works. So I would get a certain amount of discount on any of the tires that I want. Also they have access to tires that aren't allowed to be sold to the public. Since I got into talks with them, I thought it would be a perfect to get a set of track and daily wheels.

I sold my work miesters to a friend on the forum, you guys will soon find out who it is. I purchased a set of 18x11 +15 Bronze ZE40 and 18x11 +18 TE37 Formula Silver. The ZE40 will be my daily wheels and I will put Yokohama V105, and for the TE37 I will put Advan A048. The A048 will strictly be track wheels, so I will swap them in at the track events. I will still keep the Top Secret TE37 :).

With track wheels, I will need some better brakes to stop. I purchased some front Brembo GT Brakes with upgraded pads and type 3 rotors.

I always wanted to Tomei Intake Manifold where they were ITB. When I found out they didn't make it anymore and I couldn't find anyone that has one. I always see run the cosworth manifold, and nothing against them. I just wanted something different and something not too many people has seen before. I knew since I couldn't get the tomei, Jun would be my next choice. I look like something that came from space, and they had it in stock. So it should arrive next week. I've only seen pics, but never pics on the car. If anybody has done it before, I would love to chat with you.

Also some smaller purchases, I bought the Liberal Mirror LED Lights. I really like them over the K2 ones. I may cost double, but I think it is worth it. Its just something small that cleans the outside appearance a bit better. Also I got the titanium engine bay dress up kit.
