Hello guys!

Been a member of IWSTI for a few months now and I recently got my brand new 2013 CBS STI!

A few infos about me:

I'm a 26 years old man that graduated from University of Montreal in july 2012. I'm a pharmacist in the Montreal, Quebec area.. I'm a legit drug dealer :D.

This is my first new car.. I'm coming from a 2003 Nissan Sentra SE-R . I don't have a lot of experience in sports car, but I've been learning a lot in the past months! Quite a bit refreshing to learn something different than drugs :D.

Yeah man!

I'm debating at the moment if I put more $$$ in the power department or go more conservative with power and use the money on nice rotors/brake pads/GS master cylinder brace... If I want to track the car a bit more, brake upgrades are a MUST, so I have to take a decision

I got a few more months to think about it!

Re: S1monQc's 2013 CBS STI - Stage 2+ in the making!!

Xmas shopping is over.

I pretty much bought everything I needed for my next round of mods coming in late March/April.

To save a few $$ on nicer items, I decided to keep the stock Dunlops for another season (or until they need to be replaced).

- Super Pro Roll center kit
- Vorshlag camber plates (to match my RCE Tarmac 0s)

- Defi oil pressure gauge (Red racer 52 mm)
- AEM UEGO AFR gauge (52 mm)
- JCS pod (2 gauges)

- Perrin turbo inlet

Still debating if I grab an intake or not at this point...

Re: S1monQc's 2013 CBS STI - Stage 2+ in the making!!

Since the EWG will require a tune I would bite the bullet and get / install the intake now. Since it requires a tune, it will eliminate an extra trip for a retune.

Plus the after maf hose needs to be off for the turbo inlet anyways so that is half the removal already.

You make a point here. :D

Re: S1monQc's 2013 CBS STI - Stage 2+ in the making!!

If your looking for upgraded rear tophats, you can get MSI ones (Mooresport) from RSD, they are the same sort of setup as the Vorschlags with the spherical bearing.

I'll stick to stock top hats for the rear... That will save me some $$ and I don't think I'll benefit much from rear aftermarket ones!!

EDIT: I already have Whiteline rear camber bushings so I can slightly adjust my rear camber already :)

Re: S1monQc's 2013 CBS STI - Stage 2+ in the making!!

73mm...the Cobb SF is also 73mm but I believe the KS Tech does a slightly better job at isolating engine bay heat from the intake. The only challenge is getting consistent cool air into the fender well. This is where the Cobb is better since it still uses the front snorkel into the box.

The GR rear tophats don't allow for camber, the only benefit would be the hard mount with the spherical bearing. Camber will only be achieved through lower arms or bolts.

Not to disagree with you but everywhere I read, people say that the Cobb runs super hot...

I'm finally going with a KS Tech 73 mm type 2 intake ceramic coated black with the heatshield :) Can't wait to get my hands on that super nice intake!

Re: S1monQc's 2013 CBS STI - Stage 2+ in the making!!

Has anyone had both and can comment? I can see putting a ks tech 73 on for my next tune. I'd like to get rid of the box/snorkle (though I thought about a CF snorkle too)

One word...

The EWG is AMAZING.
I'm waiting for my Killer B header to show up and then I will get to experience it too. How do things look with the KS Tech intake?
