Picked up my new Dunlop SP Winter Sport 3D's. Pretty meaty.

A little fun in the mud.

Default Steering rack upgrades

The steering rack bushings were easy. The included bushing puller worked great. The steering is very responsive now.

Long couple of days installing all the parts I ordered over the summer. It's nice working on a new(er) car. Everything came off will very little effort. Waiting on new gaskets so I can install the down pipe and exhaust.

The subframe bushings were a bit difficult, each one had to be trimmed to fit. It took me the better part of a day to get them in snug, lined up and torqued to factory specs. It was frustrating but I didn't lose my cool. Next time, I will drop the entire subframe and press in solid bushings.

The front RCE sways with Kartboy endlinks went very well... Wondering if I should have used the spacers... I do like the control arm brace plates. They are quite an improvement.

Default Exhaust Update

So I finished the down pipe and exhaust install last night. Flashed the ECU to Stage 2 and took it for a warm up drive. I popped a CEL immediately, and I found that I forgot to plug back in the air pump.... After I plugged it back in and cleared the code, it was smooth sailing. I like the sound of the exhaust, but it is loud at WOT. We'll see how long I keep it on the car - or I may go with a Cobb catted dp.

If the weather here would cool down, I'd have them on the car already. I can't see mounting them when the weather for the next 2 weeks is mid-50's to 60's. The National Weather Service is calling for quite a bit of snowfall for the Tennessee valley this year.

Default AOS Install

The Crawford AOS install was pretty straightforward. I reviewed the instructions 50 times to make sure I didn't foul it up. The revised instructions could have included update pictures to match the actual install, but that's just my $0.02.

The hose that leads back to the crank case breather was a bit short for my liking. I tried to source 1/2" fuel/emissions hose at the local auto shops but at least two shops tried to sell me heater hose. I don't guess some people really care what they will sell you, just as long as they move merchandise. I was too impatient to wait until a weekday, so I cannibalized some hose from my 04's AOS. So another $0.02, if you install the Crawford AOS on a GR, get an extra 3 feet of 1/2" fuel/emissions hose...

I'm going to get some scrap proximity firefighting clothing from work and sew up my own reflective hose sleeves. The fire sleeves with the kit are great, but a bit shorter for the hoses than I'd like.

Default Rear suspension update

The rear sway bars, end links and rear bar mount reinforcement were simple to install. The upgrade really settles the car down during cornering, but it can be a bit bumpy - not that I mind.
