Nice! Subscribed! How are you liking Stage 1? Yet to install the SF intake?

Phase 2 will be the fun part! I can't wait to see those Volks with the RCE Tarmacs.

Stage 1 has some balls to it. Definitely added some low end between 2-3k RPM it seemed. I'm really looking forward to Stage 2. I spent like an hour just driving around today wishing I had a CBE haha.

The RCE's and the Volks (or the Volks at least) are probably a long time from being purchased simply due to the fact that I don't have 7 grand to throw away right now. I'm gonna -try- to get the RCEs as soon as possible (maybe a joint christmas present from the family?!). I don't think I'd need to modify the fenders until I got the Volks anyway.

Time On Target for Stage 2 + SF Intake is 25OCT2011 and should be installed by the end of next week provided I'm feeling ballsy and want to DIY on the downpipe. I was considering ordering Sways and Strut Tower Bars at the end of the month but right now I'm content with how the car is handling. I think I'll probably get them sometime after christmas instead (after I've got some more seat time in the car).

I've been talking with Myles through PMs and he's been nothing but helpful. I talked to a couple guys at a local shop and it seemed like they didn't really know anything about RaceComp...they couldn't really tell me anything that I was curious about. Damn you guys and trying to talk me into just getting the Tarmacs. If I get coilovers then I'm going to want a Chargespeed kit and that would just be a supersexy overload and I'm not sure if I could handle everything that ensued.

As a side note - I'm getting a lot better with shifting but I think I might be burning the clutch. Its either that or excess garbage from manufacture in the motor/trans being burned off. I smelled it a lot on the first day and today it wasn't quite as pungent but I could still smell it a little bit at stoplights. It doesn't quite smell like brake pads but it's similar...sorta. Doesn't smell as bad as brake pads. Also, 1st and 2nd gear kinda make a whiny noise that I'm not familiar with. Almost like a grinding/whining mix when I let off the throttle < 3k rpm.

Went out driving and saw a spot next to a lake. Just happened to have my Canon with me so I decided to do an impromptu photoshoot.

Below:
Earlier today I decided that debadging was going to happen; and so it has.

My buddy has a 240 he wants to shoot so I'm gonna be doing some research on car photography and seeing if we can't get some cool night shots with sodium lights (orange parking lot lights) sometime in the future. Stay tuned!

OMG! To be totally honest here… I had never really given OBP much attention in the past… Probably cause most of the ones I have seen were not this cleaned to the 9s

But you Sir are making me appreciate this colour in a whole new optic

Yep the smell is normal. It's just all the fresh new factory parts being broken in. The clutch doesn't really get broken in until around 2k so you should smell it for a little while.

It looks like I can stick my finger 3" into your paint. Very Nice.

I'd prefer some Gold Advan RS's on that ride, but that's just me.

Thanks I still need to put a good coat of wax on it though. I know a guy from my hometown that does a great job. I might hit him up when I go home on leave.

Thanks! I've been considering some mesh BBS wheels instead of the volks...but the RE30s are just so damn sexy.
