Default BRIT-BOY's New 2011 DGM STI....journal

Hi all, I have just got seated in a 2011 DGM STI hatch. I first got introduced to Subaru back in 2004 when I got a silver STI sedan. I fell in love with the boxer engine and handling.... I got a Cobb St2 back then which greatly improved performance... I sold that when I went oversees in 2007. I have just returned back and wanted to get back into a clean 2005 STI..but spent over a year looking for one at a good price.. tired of looking I broke down and got a new STI..
My first impressoins of it is WOW!!! It feels so much tighter and responsive on handling than the 04 model...
Planned Upgrades:
1. I have just put 400+ miles below 4000 revs..so first step is after 1000 miles is Cobb St2 kit
2. Next step - after 10,000 miles I am planning a E85/20g or FP green turbo swap with injectors and fuel pump etc....Want to get to about 400WHP range with a quick spool.. I am still looking at best set-up for this so I would appreciate any comments and thoughts on this step....Thanks for looking & enjoy this Journal....BRIT_BOY_STI.....

I just got a clearbra from Greg at Modernarmour. He is brother of Chris at Cobb Tuning. He did a great job. I am glad I didn't do it myself. The bumper section was a real ***** to do He spent over 2 hours just on the bumper section and noticed a very small tear near the number plate area. He stripped it off and came back the next day to make it right. Although it's not cheap it is well worth it. I also had a rear wheel arches done.

E85 with a Blouch 20G netted me 390whp although that also includes headers, downpipe, uppipe, and CBE. With the newer 20G-XT you might be able to squeeze out a little more.

Some bastard just keyed my passenger door. Couldn't get it out with scratch-X. It about 4" long. Probably some punk prozaced skateboarder! I was well pissed off this morning.

Thumbs up Re: BRIT-BOY's New 2011 DGM STI....journal

On a positive note I just passed 1000 miles. Went straight to Cobb tuning to pick up my access port. Put it on st1 map and all I can say is wow! It felt like my 04 sti st2! They have obviously improved their maps or the 2011 is a little better on St1.
I am in two minds right now on the next step. Original thought was 20g type with e85. But now I am liking the idea of the new full_race twin scroll kit they will bring out early next year. I would like to know if anyone has had their kits and their thoughts on them. Guys should check out their website. Full-race.com. As always welcome to any comments/thoughts on this topic.

I will post some more pics. Need to join premiums so I can imbed pics better.

Cheers till next time
