Update 3/3/18 Dyno Day

I visited Brad over at EngineLogics this morning to have the tune reworked and talk to him about my plans to increase power. He was able to squeeze some more horsepower out of the motor and a considerable amount of torque! There was a little more to give but we opted to keep the tune conservative. I have zero desire to pay for another motor rebuild.

In discussing future upgrades, Brad convinced me to go with Cobb's Flex Fuel setup. Its simple, easy and will go well with future upgrades if I decide to go that route. We also think it will get me the power numbers I'm looking for. I will do the flex fuel setup first, and wait on the turbo upgrade I originally planned for if/when I want more.

Update 3/12/18 Small Update
The Impreza is sold and I'm currently looking for a storage solution for the Fairlane. Once that is done, I will be ordering a QuickJack and some car dollies so I can use my entire garage space to work on the car.

Brad will be installing the Flex Fuel kit because I don't have any experience working with fuel systems and the labor cost really isn't too bad.

I've also updated the OP to reflect the current plan.

Update 3/28/18: Parts!!

I got parts! More goodies to come but everything should be here next week. Hoping to have the FlexFuel kit installed and tuned before MotoGP at COTA in a couple weeks. I doubt it will happen but here's hoping.

The next step after that will be the new pads, rotors, SS lines and a flush of all the fluid. I went with Stoptech's PosiQuiets and EBC rotors. Nothing super fancy but will be a welcome upgrade over the tired stock equipment.

I'm also thinking about going back to the stock sway bars. I don't track the car and I think adding a little flex to the suspension will really help with street driving.

Next purchase will be some of the exterior goodies. Tax refund checking coming in right on time! I'm still trying to decide what wheels to go with. I've flip flopped on going to 17s over 18s. I've also considered a slew of wheels and colors. If anyone has any recommendations, please post them!

Some of the wheels I've considered:
Enkei RPF1 17x8
Konig Rennform 18x9
Konig Ampliform
fifteen52 Tarmac 18x8.5
Motegi MR137

I'd like to keep the wheels to $300 each or less.

Update 4/8/18: More Parts!!

Even more parts!

I dropped the car off at EngineLogics yesterday morning for the Cobb FlexFuel install. I'm having them install the AEM Oil Pressure and AEM AFR/Boost gauges as well.

Once I get the car back I will be doing the brake refresh and installing some brand new wheels I have on order!

Update 4/12/18: E85

Got the car back from EngineLogics today. I didn't get a print out but I think it was about 310WHP and 370 WTQ. That's roughly 50hp and 100tq over 93 so I'm quite happy. There's a good chance I end up doing some more, but I'd like to drive it like this for a while and see how it does for me.

Brakes are up next and I'll probably do an oil change while I'm at it. Should have almost everything I need so I may end up doing it this weekend. The Forester gets new brakes first though since it's the one that actually needs it so we'll see.

Wheels should ship early next week. Standard shipping so I'd expect the earliest being next Friday but probably the week after that. Will be moving the Pilot SS tires over so nothing new there.

After all of that it's just a few more aesthetic pieces and it will be "done". I've been flip-flopping on the bumper recently and may just go with the Greddy front lip instead or maybe the Varis + Rundunce Collaboration... Really not sure.

Update 4/15/18: Brakes

Installed the new Rotors, Pads and SS lines this weekend. Going to to bleed the brakes and do an oil change tonight. Brad recommends 15W oil because of the switch to E85. That's a bump up for the 10W I was running.

Wheels should ship this week?

Update 4/18/18: Fluid Changes

Oil change completed with 15w40 a 63500 miles. Didn't change the filter out because it's a new filter on low mileage and I plan on changing again in the next 2000 miles to send it off to Blackstone.

The brake fluid change was completed as well. Pain in the butt because I had also changed out the lines. Will probably bleed them when I change the oil again to make sure I got all of the air out

Got this in the mail today!

Still contemplating going back to the stock sway bars.

Update 5/8/18: Minor Update

So the wheels have been delayed. Apparently there was a mix up at the finisher's and my wheels got the wrong color. Should ship this week.

I also ordered an aluminum under tray from TBW Performance. Still not sure if I'm going to go with a new bumper or lip.

Stock sway bars will go in when I install the under tray. Will probably bleed the brakes then as well. Hopefully that will be around the same time as the new wheels arrive and I can knock that off the list as well.
