Ran the IAG Stage 4 Extreme closed deck for 45,000 miles (115,000 miles to 160,000 miles) at ~660whp at 39psi until a GSC valvespring suddenly broke and caused a bent valve. GSC refused to respond to any of my emails and questions

Lesson? DON'T BUY GSC BEEHIVE VALVESPRINGS

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ran the setup below: IAG Stage 2 block at >500whp 26-30psi for 3 years (1/2013-2/2016) with minimal oil burn/slap and minimal power loss; oil analyses posted below

IAG Stage 2 block
  • Manley Platinum Series 99.75mm Piston Set
  • Manley H-Beam Rods
  • ACL Main and Rod Bearings
  • OEM Nitrided Crank
  • OEM 11mm Oil Pump
  • Killer B Oil Pickup with Baffle
  • Gates Racing Timing Belt Kit
  • 12,000mile/1year warranty

IAG Stage V Heads
  • Flipped Cosworth Manifold with retained Air Conditioning Stock Vs. Cosworth IM comparison
  • ARP2000 Head Studs
  • OEM Headgasket
  • Manley Extreme Duty 33mm Exhaust Valve Set
  • Manley Race Flow 37mm Intake Valve Set
  • Manley Valve Spring and Retainer Kit
  • IAG Stage V headwork with Multi Angle Valve Job/Port&Polish
  • Kelford Dual AVCS 272/268 11.30/11.50mm Lift Street Cams
  • Cosworth Phenolic Spacers
  • IAG TGV Deletes
  • 12,000mile/1year warranty

Stock STi = 225whp on IAG dynojet

GT35R (not HTA86) comparisons/videos below

Dyno graph comparison (stock heads vs. IAG built heads, 272s) to illustrate how much IAG Stage V heads flow; no confounding variables because boost was kept the same as well as the turbo and all other parts of my setup.

Bought the car for $28,700 on 11/2008 (0% financing for 63 months + $7000 off of the deal of century in the winter of 2008). Went stage 1 at 300 miles, stage 2 at 1000 miles, protuned stage 2 at 5,000 miles...then the rest is history :)

Robotvoice: I'll take some pictures over the weekend but 30% is a perfect balance between blocking out UV and not looking too illegal!

RMG: I got the lip 6 months ago for $230 shipped but now they are going for $160 shipped on ebay.

subydude: Thanks! Pleasure doing business with you guys :D

Thanks man! Yeah, my friend got 35% on his car recently and it looks good but I want mine just slightly darker, so I was thinking 30% would be a nice compromise like you said.

Re: 2008 World Rally Blue STi....IAG Rotated 35R kit to be installed in Nov. :D

Re: 2008 World Rally Blue STi....IAG Rotated 35R kit to be installed in Nov. :D

jordanretro: Thanks :D Your Advans look sexy as hell!!!

Kaspersky: I put my wheels on after the coilovers. I didn't roll the front fenders and I only rub when I have to turn onto inclines. I would definitely recommend getting the fronts rolled as well.

Miruguy: Thanks! I used Plastidip which I prefer over paint because it matches the bottom part of the grill and since it is rubberized, it is impervious to rock chips ;)

Your car looks great!

How do you like your tune from Agile? I'm torn between going to Agile or IAG who flys out RiftsWRX ( Jorge from P&L )

The tune by Hill is GREAT (safe, smooth, powerful). I got the protune in January of 2009 and put 11,000 miles since then without any problems. You really can't go wrong with either of those tuners

Hey man, what part of MD are you from? I was up at IAG today getting some suspension work done and I checked out the shop car that has the 35R setup. That thing is a MONSTER, you should be pretty happy with it once you get it installed on yours.

I'm from Silver Spring (home) but I go to school in VA (where I'm at 95% of the year). Yup, dropping the car off next Saturday!!

Re: 2008 World Rally Blue STi....IAG Rotated 35R kit to be installed in Nov. :D

thanks but i need more power

how much is IAG charging for their kit? They require you let them install it right? I think thats what they mentioned to me. I will probably be going to them in the spring to get a set of mahle pistons so I may have them throw their kit in there with a gt30.

DO IT!! :D

IAG made me an offer I couldn't refuse: introductory pricing on the kit and installation (I think the deal is still on)!
